Title: Balotelli watch Post by: Ginginho on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 08:29:17 Anyone else fascinated by this guy, he's an absolute nutcase, but a great nutcase.
I love the story (if it's true) that he checked 24 homeless people into the Hilton Hotel over New Year and he drove around giving money to homeless people. http://mancunianmatters.co.uk/content/17012126-madness-mario-city-striker-balotelli-offers-pay-manchester-university-students%E2%80%99-lib For all the negative shit that comes out about him there seems to be more stories about his generosity. There's a site What Did Balotelli Do Today (http://www.whatdidbalotellidotoday.com/) Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Barry Scott on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 08:46:49 I love him. I mentioned him in the positive trivial thread and said he was like every cult hero rolled in to one.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Spud on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:00:06 Heard that when he visits Childrens hospitals, they all go straight to him as they see him as a naughty child. :D
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Chubbs on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:07:35 He is awesome, Love the story a few days ago about him needing a piss, so pulled up to a school in his bentley and used their pisser
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:25:57 Some of the things he's supposed to have done are fucking classic, if he really has done them then hes a top bloke, mad as fuck but a top bloke.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:28:01 Heard about on New years eve this year paying for 24 homeless people to spend the night in the Manchester Hilton.
http://joe.ie/football/football-news/balotelli-has-supposedly-put-24-homeless-people-up-in-a-hilton-for-new-years-0019039-1 If these stories really are true he shows a generosity unmatched by any current (or for that matter past) footballer. Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: nochee on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:28:47 He paid for everyones fuel at a petrol station the other day.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: tans on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:29:31 he can save darlington now ;)
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Nemo on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:34:02 Some of the things he's supposed to have done are fucking classic, if he really has done them then hes a top bloke, mad as fuck but a top bloke. Yep, this: completely mad but I'm glad he exists! Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Barry Scott on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:36:28 I heard that on boxing day he went around loads of dodgy Manc estates, walked into every pub he found and left £1000 behind the bar for the locals to enjoy.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Chubbs on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:52:27 i know he walked out of a casino and gave a homeless person £1000
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Batch on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:53:27 I'm warming to him. I originally thought he was a complete knob.
Now I see he is merely unhinged and is here to entertain us. Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Benzel on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:53:58 He also went in to a Manc College to use the toilets and walked into the teachers lounge to have a chat and then walked round campus with students.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 09:59:06 Even if just 1 or 2 of these rumours are proved to be true then the man is a legend.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Chubbs on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:02:39 all this said, he did try and set off fire works in his own bathroom and started a fire.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Flashheart on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:06:35 all this said, he did try and set off fire works in his own bathroom and started a fire. For which he should be knighted Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Peter Venkman on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:07:25 all this said, he did try and set off fire works in his own bathroom and started a fire. The stuff of legends (not always good!) Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: red socks on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:38:57 What a top man. Hero status guaranteed forever.
Simon Ferry take note, perhaps buy a box of malteasers or two to pass around the town end for the next home game? Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Processed Beats on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:41:26 Bit of a bellend to me.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: DRS on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:47:51 owns a couple of orphanages.Clearly had a fucked up childhood but making up for it now. i love the bloke
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Ginginho on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:55:18 I also read that a young kid came up to him at the training ground asking for his autograph, Balotelli asked him why he wasn't at school and the said something about being bullied.
Balotelli drove him to the school, got him and the bullies together and made them shake hands. Again, no idea if it's true, but there are so many stories out there, some of it must be true. He also refuses to give up smoking, he smokes 5-6 cigarettes a day :) Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Essexred on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:58:29 If only a quarter of the stories I've heard are true he really is a one off. Quite mad but the Premier League is certainly less dull because of him.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: DRS on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 11:30:39 The headmaster confirmed the bullying one was true
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: suttonred on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 11:54:03 Has the party popper one been done? Didnt know what one was, asked and then let one of in Lescotts face, before returning to carry on icing his cake he was making in a school with some kids. Leaving every one else in the room open mouthed. Also loved the quote from noel gallagher saying that when he leaves city he will probably be fired out of the ground by a cannon.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: TheMajorSTFC on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 12:19:37 Deffo a livewire on the pitch, but the bloke seems to have his heart in the right place off it!
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Arriba on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 12:28:25 When stopped by police and asked why he had so much money in his pocket he gave the simple reply 'because i'm rich'.
Not alot they could say in response to that Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 13:21:32 That one was ace arriba, a very true response he gave, if completely literal.
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Luci on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 13:25:13 He is simply awesome
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Benzel on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 13:34:34 He should've told them there was a pigeon in his bank account.

Now I see he is merely unhinged and is here to entertain us. That sums up how I feel too. Good luck to him. Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Ralphy on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 18:12:56 Didn't he dress up as santa and drive around Manchester handing money out ?
Title: Re: Balotelli watch Post by: Eric Sabins Barn Door on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 18:18:43 Think the guy is a hero, one of the best gems i read was that on Xmas eve he went into a pub on a council estate in manc put £1000 behind the bar then left for midnight mass and stuck £300 in the collection bowl at the church

I am keeping my eyes open for him everyday in Manchester, lass I work with lives in Wilmslow and is convinced that one day their paths will cross when he's splashing the cash! |
