Title: iPod Touch Help
Post by: PHIL!!!! on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, 09:25:25
Hello!

Could someone please recommend a reliable company who deal in replacing 4th generation iPod touch screens? (Other than Apple) My girlfiend has gone and somehow cracked her screen, so is looking at repairing it.
It still works fine, it's just a bit shit having a huge crack in the screen.

I've seen quotes of around 100 quid for replacing the screen. Is this about right?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Fanks!

There was a link someone gave my for repairs to apple products. Prices weren't that bad either. I'll have a look through the history and see if i can find it for you.

Haha no that wasn't me I'm afraid. Although I do hate Apple! Shit products that break too easily and contain god awful software. Then again HTC products aren't much better.....I hate technology.....!

I didn't use them in the end. I ended up fixing it myself for about £15-20. Had the to replace the screen etc. Fairly easy to do to be honest.

My stepdad has used this company and he's said they're very good!

I see. I might go down the 'do it yourself' route. I mean it still works perfectly fine, so it's just the screen itself, rather than the sensor things.

Honestly, it's easy to do. I got all by bits off of eBay. Have a look on there. They sometimes do the screen and tools for under £10. It takes some patience and time to do but it'll be worth it.
