Is Rooney left or right footed and what wing does he naturally play on?

Getting rooney would be a huge scoop, talk about sideways (slightly up maybe) move...gills will be fuming if this happens.

There not bothered if he stays or goes tbh.

Reading their message board they seem unphased by the prospect, suggesting he goes missing in games and we must have seen him on a good day. Damage limitation or sincerity, who knows.

Hoping that if we get this bloke he isn't the biggest disappointment ever. There has been so much speculation and rumour about him coming that its beyond belief.

He was the best player on the pitch when we beat Gillingham at home, and we all know Di Canio doesn't stand for players giving less than total commitment every day. Just because Gillingham haven't managed to get that from him, doesn't mean that Paolo won't. And if he does, then with the bloke's obvious talent we will have a very good player. He struck me as versatile enough to not just be a winger, too.

What wing does he play on?

With PDC signing players and converting them he will probably be playing left back

I read on Wikipedia, a few weeks ago, how he had 9 in 33 at the start of last season, I think, now that's been removed and his goals to game ration looks gash I say fuck him. :D

Of course it'll be rejected. They reject our initial offer, declare some lunatic figure as their asking price, we "cool our interest", and then in about a weeks time we'll agree a fee somewhere in between the two.

He was good the one time i've seen him, but then so was James Constable... i'm not overly bothered if it comes off or not, i've never heard rave reviews about him.

Finally a fucking answer to which wing he plays on! Thanks Barry! Would be nice to have a natural left footer on the left wing.  As well as De Vita has done on the left I feel the team would be more balanced with a left footer.

of course the gills fans don't rate him.... cos he's leaving. if he signed a new deal, they'd be wanking themselves dry over him.

a bit like plenty on here with ritchie. we know he's class but if he goes we'll do a bit of damage limitation in our own minds by saying 'he wasn't all that anyway'

Mostly good to be fair, sounds promising.
Especially the bits about the number of assists he provides and the fact he likes to run at defences.

Exactly. Also, no player in Rooney's position is going to be playing at his best either. I would take all the negative comments with a very large pinch of salt.
