Title: David Duke Q&A Post by: olliejames on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 19:27:52 David Duke spent 5 seasons at the County Ground after his move from Sunderland in the pre-season of 2000. His time at Swindon was certainly eventful...both on and off the pitch. He played an important role in the excellent 2003/2004 season which ultimately ended in playoff heartbreak at the Withdean, and was first on hand to celebrate with Danny Invincible after that last gasp strike confirmed our Division 2 status in 2001! Not to mention a certain night out with Keith O’Halloran and a tramp....yes, you read the last bit right...Enjoy...

I'm warming to him quickly! Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: olliejames on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 19:32:20 I'm still laughing about inviting tramp for a take away!

Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: olliejames on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 19:43:09 Don't worry, only contribution I'll be making is posting the Q&A' s ;)
Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: tans on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 19:46:51 Grant smith @ggs80
You could ask about his great left foot and mock the fucker for going to city Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: Trashbat? on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 19:52:35 His memory is fading him, Henderson played for us 04/05 not the play off season
Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: DV on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 19:58:01 Don't worry, only contribution I'll be making is posting the Q&A' s ;) too late isnt it? Very honest there from Duke - spent most of his time under Kingy and didnt even like him! Clearly never a left back - which he should have probably mentioned to Kingy as well. Scott Leitch, Ian Culverhouse, Mark Robinson, Kevin Horlock, Ty Gooden and The Chief would be nice. Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: sonicyouth on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 20:12:07 Interesting that he confirms what most believed about King. Nice read.
I'd love to see a Q&A with Stefani Miglioranzi. Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: Ƭ̵̬̊: The Artist Formerly Known as CWIG on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 20:15:52 Yeah agreed, Stef probably my favourite player from that era.
Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: Frigby Daser on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 20:17:51 Good interview that. No surprises about King, or more positively, Evans. It says about how the club was run that his wages came as and when the club decided and by cheque. I was never a fan of his, but then he was out of position (we all knew he was a right footed midfielder playing at left back).
Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: olliejames on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 20:18:09 We have one with Ferry next week, with Andy King, Micky Hazard and Grant Smith agreeing to do one.
Will try my best to hunt down Stefani Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: Arriba on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 21:38:27 Not a bad read but a bit too short imo.
I'd also stick to ex players as they will be more honest than current ones. Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: leefer on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 21:56:25 Good one...i got into some right scrapes siding with Dukey...one of the few players booed by the Town fans >:(
Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: yeo on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 22:06:42 I'd like to be a Marketeer.
Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: skin_im_buzzer on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, 22:13:30 I'd like to be a Marketeer. It's not as exciting as it sounds...Trust me! Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: [email protected] on Thursday, January 5, 2012, 00:33:21 I'd like to be a Marketeer. One for all, and all for one... Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: Power to people on Thursday, January 5, 2012, 12:55:50 Interesting that a few websites (Ollie & The Washbag) have sprung up recently and are doing some pf the sort of things that you would expect that local journo's to be interested to sell papers, but obviously to lazy to think of things like this.
Digby would be an interesting one to hear from with the managers he worked under here. Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: tans on Thursday, January 5, 2012, 12:57:45 Fitzroy simpson

Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: LucienSanchez on Thursday, January 5, 2012, 13:12:40 Good read. I wasn't going to read it after all the fucking 'retweet' requests spamming my timeline from the chode that runs that blog, but he's done a good job. And no, i won't joing the facebook group no matter how many times Ferry et al give in to retweet requests!
Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: Nemo on Thursday, January 5, 2012, 13:14:25 Hehe

Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: Baggins on Thursday, January 5, 2012, 15:39:04 I liked Duke - he gave his all when played out of position for a lot of his career. I'm a bit surprised by his views on Andy King though.
Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Friday, January 6, 2012, 21:48:10 Eugh the retweets are deeply annoying
Weird how different some players opinions on Andy King are Title: Re: David Duke Q&A Post by: Costanza on Friday, January 6, 2012, 23:44:17 I had to stop following some Town fans due to constant brown-nosing and the retweeting of nonsense etc
Conversation/joking is one thing but all of this "Alright lad buzzin from the win please RT cuz it's my birthday" is cringeworthy. YOU'RE GROWN MEN |
