Title: Bitterness from Cirencester
Post by: Tails on Monday, July 18, 2005, 11:09:24
Just went on their official site....

Quote
Although Swindon did not in the end put out their full first team squad, as they had promised and been contracted to do, they did bring a squad which included four or five first team members. The game turned out to be a thoroughly entertaining affair, with plenty of action in both goal mouths in front of a large crowd which would have been even larger, if the full Swindon First team squad had been playing.

They still sound pretty pissed off...

When Ciren scored about 20 people cheered (an equaliser too). Of the 900 there, 800 were Swindon fans.

It was Cirens fans and non STFC locals who didnt support the fixture.

Glad to hear there is still humour left in the beautiful game!
