Title: landlord question... Post by: Leggett on Sunday, December 18, 2011, 08:56:22 The house next to mine is rented. The current occupants are dicks, the fence between our gardens were blown down in the strong winds last February. At the time, the guy said he'd fix it. My landlord checked the deeds and the fence is not his responsibility.10 months later and after numerous letters and cards being put through the door and multiple door knocking (none if which he responded to), my landlord has decided to get it fixed, despite it not being his property. Is there any way of finding out the landlord of next door?

Post by: Dozno9 on Sunday, December 18, 2011, 09:09:21 Go onto the Land Registry website and you can download a title register showing the owner of the property, I think its about 4 quid. I had some hassle with a school and adjoining house with a fence issue and that house was rented so I went straight to the landlord.

Title: Re: landlord question... Post by: DMR on Sunday, December 18, 2011, 21:18:59 10 months!
For about 40 quid and a trip to B&Q you could have cobbled something together yourself it bothered you that much? Title: Re: landlord question... Post by: Leggett on Sunday, December 18, 2011, 21:50:07 For two snapped fence posts and three new fence panels? £40? don't think so. Plus its not my (or my landlords) responsibility, its the dickhead next door.
Its rented to one set of people. Title: Re: landlord question... Post by: Sussex on Monday, December 19, 2011, 11:11:38 Get on to the council, they'll make it the dickhead next doors responsibility, or give him/her the option of court and up to a 5k fine.
I've had neighbour issues recently.. |
