Playing today apparently

I think playing Roberts on the wing is the best option, he is a good player but we with had plenty of good strikers.

So it is between Nicolau and Roberts for left wing? Shakes on the right?

He started on the right then switched to the left when Shakes came on.

Apparently he didn't play against Ciren as he had a personal/family problem.

Jesus weeps when he reads comments on Roberts playing on the wing.  He signed as a striker and is most effective playing just off a big man e.g.: Fallon.  I question his effectiveness on the wing, although admittedly I do not think he has played there for Swindon when fully fit, if you count any time after his hernia op as being unfit.

I concede that Roberts did a decent job at Franchise until he was substituted but I think ultimately he will get frustrated playing out there and will leave.  I think we've got a great player in Roberts, but fear due to his injury last season and lack of opportunity to prove himself, King will farm him out to the wing to make way for Cureton and Co.

I don't think it's farming him out onto the wing I think that's the odvious place to play him. One of Cureton and Thorpe or even both up front with Fallon and Roberts pace on the wing could be very dangerous.

I agree with Walrus and in some respects I feel sorry for Roberts. Its only his pace that lends himself to wing play. He did, after all, score 20 goals for City in a season and rightly wants to play up front.

But was King wrong to sign Cureton and Thorpe?

Kingy called him fat after someone shouted whos he when the aylesbury player setup our goal, he said christian roberts but not as fat and much faster   :soapy tit wank:

during our chat with andy "aids" king before the match on saturday he was asked if roberts was back, then he swore a bit and said pretty much that he wasn't...but then played on the wings.

i am a part time detective so i can only deduce king doesn't like him too much OR roberts love affair with the best time in the south-west is faltering.
