Apparently we won 3-1 although i dont the other scorers apart from Shakes.

We won 3-1 according to ThisisSTFC forum. Not sure on goalscorers as yet.

second half it was mostly youth players though and shakes and nicolau did not get much service out to the wings!  the african guy was crap (worst penalty take ever im told)

Constable looked raw talent but very up for it, sakes will be ace.  The nigerian tried hard but will be remembered for teh worst penalty ever!

Young player 28 and the no 10 looked very good, have an ok squad in my opinion.

Also I arrived very early king came in the bar where he had time to go and talk to john the disabled guy, made me realise king isnt that much of a knob.

The Aussie guy at the back was good and solid. I thought shakes pussies out of a lot of challages and his kicking wasn't to great, a simple tap in. A bit like Duke in ways.
Good to see Steve Cowe play. The nigerian was utter shite.

Shakes looked very good. Nicolau was alright, quick, good passer but his corners were crap.

Bullman is terrible but my mum tried chatting him up which was funny.

As for the two penalty incident, now that was hillarious! Fair play to the keeper for saving Constables but that Nigerian guys penalty was awful!! Chris Taylor showed em how to do it. His bicycle kick at the end would have been fantastic had it gone in, hit the bar though!

I thought Nicolau looked good.  Constable took his goal well and is worth a gamble.  That number 28 looked good on the ball as well, but without much end product.

The penalties were hilarious, the Nigerian tried to take the first kick until Nicolas told him it was Constable's and he got in a huff.  Then stepped up for the re-take sending the keeper the wrong way and slotting it past the post.  Can't have been much consolation that the whole crowd was laughing at him :soapy tit wank:

And the penalties were most amusing - when they retook it after Constable missed we shouted let the other bloke have a go cos the Nigerian had gone off in a huff when Nicho made him give Constable the ball. So when he missed as well, we shouted at the ref "My go now. Me next" Good job it wasn't a cup game - if it had gone to penalties we'd still be there at breakfast.

Not for me mate, I think Shakes looks the business. Real power, he picked a dinky cross to Fallon that was absolutely pin point. Nicolau showed glimpses, never got in full flow though. Fallon looked in good shape, but missed a few.  :?

Dissapointed with Caton (didnt have a number on shirt) hoping to see him prove something, to Kingy. But he didnt shine.  :(  I know that boy has got it though, he will come good.

I thought I was getting a bit confused.

    I'm loving this stuff.....I recall a game v Leicester where we had two pens, neither scored, one taken by Zippy another taken by Tommy Jones.....I'm  thinking the Zippy pen never reached the keeper, or was it Tommy's effort?

 Think I must have been out of it, because the recall is poor.

 More research needed.

 I'm leaning towards the Zippy, he kinda stubbed his toe into the ground and the ball dribbled forward....it was into the TE goal.

I loved the whole milling around watching the footy thang with a pint tonight...its like being at cricket... :D

Just remembered, I was talking to a mate who knows a few ciren academy players (i.e. take it with a pinch of salt), but apparently Town of the Cirencester variety were less than impressed with "our strongest possible team" put out last night and I was told a bit of an argument over the contract (to play our 1st team) is brewing with threats of court action made yesterday.... Also the admission was apparently supposed to be £7, but was reduced to £5 due to a weakend Swindon team....

Might all be BS, in fact I think it quite likely to be BS. If the missing players were 'injured'  :wink:  then how do Ciren prove otherwise....

It could have been a lot worse, we had a far few first team players out. Cirencester have a nice little set up out there.

oh just remembered possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen.  My mate Yatsey was walking through teh bar after the game and we had been near the town players this kid in the new away shirt had it all signed, he looked at me and my mate and my mate said 'you want that signed' the bloke was like yeah please mate.  My mate signed it, kid turnes to his mate and says 'whos that' cracked me up the kid had no idea.

Despite actually playing yesterday evening, Nicholas still managed to get home and be pissed in studio by about 1am...

migz was the best player on the pitch by a mile. shakes looked good down the right. i thought david stroud did well when he come on (no. 28 ), good to see him running at players - one for the future. the nigerian was looking good i thought, up until that penalty - he had a couple of good touches & layoffs. priet definatly worth another look. bulman is crap, the other keeper we had there (john stewart?) should have been given a chance. kevin halliday needs a kick in the face. steve cowe is a little porker. roberts wants out. the end

Asher, I was stood right next to you and your mates. Your Halliday abuse was very funny.

Some points from last nights game:

1. Shakes looks good, very very quick, and that run he went on towards the end of the first half was quality.
2. Kevin Halliday has terrible hair and isnt much skinnier than me.
3. Bulman is shit
4. Drinking beer in the sun behind the goal is great.
5. No. 15's penalty was the worst I've ever seen live and is one of the funniest football moments I've ever witnessed. I was still chuckling to myself 10 minutes afterwards!
6. James Cuntstubble looked alright to me, worth another try. His scissors kick towards the end was very unlucky.
7. Matty Heywood was there, Walt Flanagans Dog spoke to him when I was having a piss and said he was a nice bloke. He dosnt think Danny Coles will be leaving city. boooo
8. Nicholau kept going infield onto his right foot? why? I thought he liked to get down the wing and put crosses in?

One good thing about watching football in Switzerland - not only can you stand behind the goal and drink beer, but they even have people who come round with a tray of beers every few minutes and serve it to you so you don't miss any of the game.

I remember the match, and the fact that Bodin and Jones missed the penalties.  Can't remember if they were poor or not.

Leicester also scored our goal for us, nice diving header by the player into his own net.
