It's because it's a 3 o'clock KO!  Not allowed to be televised in the UK under current guidelines.

Is it repeated later in the evening? Am travelling over but won't get there until about 8pm Eastern Time.

It's one of the games that ITV will be putting a full Outside Broadcast unit into, therefore broadcasters outside the UK can, if they choose, take the match.

In the same way that some of the 3pm Championship matches are shown live outside the UK.

Fox tend to repeat most live games a couple of times over the next 24 hours so you will probably catch it, a bit like Sky Sports.

I have only just got out here so am still in a temporary house so haven't got a DVD Recorder yet, sorry otherwise I would.

I am sure there were some Irish based fans on here in the past, you might have better luck with them, or if not see if the pub will record it that the London based supporters are going to.

Managed to find 2 bars in Luxembourg showing the match. Bizarrely its live on Swedish satellite and we have a nordic/scandi bar which is non smoking as well, so ideal! :)

The Royal Oak in Old Town might be a good shout for you, I know they have one of the different satelites (not sky) and do show the 3pm Saturday games from time to time.

I can understand financial reasons, just curious if there is more to it than that.
