Cup final tickets details announced early then ;)

Interesting to see that away allocation is from block 26 onwards...does anyone know how much of the stand this is in terms of how many we will be allocated? (tried looking @ work but we dont have flash player to see there block numbers)

That link says they're expecting a huge attendance. Bit strange when the ground only holds 12,500. Perhaps they're planning to stick another few thousand in the car park?

I reckon if they sell 10k by Christmas you might see the club apply to build a temp stand at the open end.

The sensible responses begin with the Flash.

No harm in being responsive to demand by getting them out early - more money in the bank and plenty of willing buyers (unlike you we will sell this out), plus the possibility of the temporary stand.

Easier to police as well!  so the plod will be happy.

Brag when the attendance is higher than it was at our place. Twisting it calling it a sell out in a smaller ground is no victory.

I suppose another way of looking at it is that Oxford are getting the tickets out now while confidence is high... if they wait until February to sell them there's a chance they'll be suffering the annual post-Christmas blues that left them playing in the pub leagues for so long.

I was illuding to earlier I believe we will get 3 blocks for deffo, with the 4th being used for segregation but we may get half of that...went onto their ground guide at https://www.eticketing.co.uk/oxfordunited/details/event.aspx?itemref=921 and it shows exact numbers of seats in there;

block 29-300 seats, block 28-756, block 27-631 and potentially half of block 26 at 350 out of 744 looks like max we will get is around 2000, altho I think based on this it's going to be around 1600 IF we are in that stand and no temp is put up!

Long way to go before we get there and many if's and but's on the ticket front!

Think I saw on twitter earlier (May have even been Tans that RT'ed it) that they are only expecting us to get 1,200-1,400 tickets.

Quite clever, then, selling to their own fans first - so no risk of our fans ending up in the home stands due to the restricted away allocation, as will be happening this weekend at Wimbledon.  I would imagine the match day thread on here will be very busy that day.

Every 'sell out' I go to seems to have masses of spare seats that I can see.

Including plenty spare seats at thieir last cup final against us - may have sold their allocation but a fair few of the Scummers didn't show.

Considering how far away the match is, when the day comes around I bet a few of the empty seats could tell a tragic tale!

Apparently they have sold out the home allocation now and are considering putting up a temporary stand for us so that they can sell our tickets to home fans.

I wonder how the commemorative plates and mugs are coming along to mark the occasion? Are they in the shops yet?

as i said a few posts in....

Far be it for me to praise the scummers, but I think they have been quite clever.

If, as I believe is the case, they have been selling tickets for their Cup Final in a package with tickets for other games, this will ensure that you get the additional revenue for at least one other match.

If I remember rightly we used to do similar things for the big cup games a few years back, where you got a voucher for a cup ticket, if you attended the game the Saturday before.

In some ways I hope they do get permission for a temporary stand, as long as it means there will be more of us there, and therefore increase the chances of getting a ticket.
