Title: Remote Access Client
Post by: Dozno9 on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, 12:48:10
I have been given through work an HTC Desite S and I would like to have a remote access client on it as I often need to access drawing and quotes when away from my PC. I have looked at Teamviewer but just wondered if anyone has used anything else.

Thanks.

http://www.sitepoint.com/remote-desktop-access-client-support/

All beyond me but the REAL software is meant to be very good....but pricey.

Over t'internet

Well, if you need to actually control the desktop then something like teamviewer is the way to go.

If you just require access to documents/files, you could use Dropbox (they have an Android app).

Thanks Samdy gone for the Dropbox as I only need access to a few files and I don't need access to the whole PC.

Thanks for your help.

Dropbox is good. Sync's your files to their servers so your PC doesn't need to be on 24/7.

How well does logmein work? £18 is pricey to find out!

TBH I think I'd find it all a bit small on a smart phone screen.

I think you can get a trial version.

Not used it myself but from seeing others use it LogMeIn is very good indeed...although I am told there are cheaper/free alternatives just as good.

but I guess that doesn't matter now :)

Thanks for the input.

I have downloaded "Documents to go" to read the files I put into Dropbox and although it's the free one I can still edit and save which seems strange I thought you had to pay for that?
