Title: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: oxford_fan on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, 20:02:12 Just got in from karate and the last 10 mins of this match is amongst the best football seen anywhere this season. The Valencia 'keeper pulled off one of the best saves ever seen from a Torres header, then about two others in quick succession, then Valencia nearly scored, now Chelsea have scored. Put it on if you're not already watching.

Priorities. Title: Re: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: tans on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, 20:20:37 It would be better if clive tyldsley wasn't commentating
Cunt Title: Re: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: oxford_fan on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, 20:29:37 I try not to listen to the commentators too much. Is there actually a good commentator? At least with commentators you can concentrate on the game and forget them, pundits hog the screen and I'm struggling to think of an exception when calling them a complete bunch of cunts. Like Brian Clough said, just show the football and let us make our own minds up.
Will have to get Grand Designs on 4od, love that show, but we don't have Sky Sports so I take any opportunity to watch live football on TV. Title: Re: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: sonicyouth on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, 20:41:04 I enjoyed that game. Shame the ref didn't send Mata off at the final whistle though, I'm already developing a dislike towards Villas Boas

Title: Re: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: Barry Scott on Thursday, September 29, 2011, 06:28:03 It would be better if clive tyldsley wasn't commentating Cunt True, but then it might end up being Peter Drury replacing him and I don't know of a commentator I dislike more. Title: Re: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Thursday, September 29, 2011, 07:17:38 True, but then it might end up being Peter Drury replacing him and I don't know of a commentator I dislike more. Surely in this day and age there must be a way or option to remove the commentators and just have the crowd noise. Occasionally you might find that a commentator or summariser has something interesting to say, but more often then not it is just cliche's. Hang on though, Aikido Te does rhyme with gay. Spurs 3rd goal tonight he said "Santos smashed it in with his first touch" even my alcohol glazed eyes saw him have a great first touch then bang it in with his second Title: Re: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: RobertT on Thursday, September 29, 2011, 21:06:00 Fuck that game. Barcelona's 8-0 demolition of Osasuna was the best display I have ever seen.

Spurs 3rd goal tonight he said "Santos smashed it in with his first touch" even my alcohol glazed eyes saw him have a great first touch then bang it in with his second I might be wrong, and I don't mean to make you look like a tool but I am pretty sure that was Graham Taylor and not David Pleat. Title: Re: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: Samdy Gray on Thursday, September 29, 2011, 21:36:04 It was Graham Taylor, although he's just as bad as Pleat.
Title: Re: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: oxford_fan on Thursday, September 29, 2011, 23:04:22 Fuck that game. Barcelona's 8-0 demolition of Osasuna was the best display I have ever seen. Perhaps a little one-sided as far as football spectacles go. Title: Re: Chelsea vs Valencia Post by: Bob's Orange on Friday, September 30, 2011, 07:38:25 Fuck that game. Barcelona's 8-0 demolition of Osasuna was the best display I have ever seen. A work colleague was on a stag and was in Barcelona that weekend. He was lucky enough to have gone to that match and said pretty much the same. |
