Hopefully the team will do the talking on the pitch.

I really want us to beat Crawley if only to prevent Steve Evans from lording it over us again.

Why can't the BBC get basic facts right?

Quote
Evans' Crawley, who are fourth in League Two, travel to 13th-placed Swindon on Tuesday

You mean like when the Townend fans start singing Swindon reject to players like Alex Revell then scores 2 against us?

any one of us would have scored the goals he did, can't blame it on terrace taunting

Or,

'Constable's a Swindon fan, Swindon fan...'

Bang.  In goes goal #2, right in front of the Town End.  Not clever.

Other times it works though. Steve Phillips hates the county ground. Trundel always got distracted by the town end.

I do think the fans are too quick to do it though, depends on the situation if you can get away with it.

Great put down.

My favourite part is:

Quote
"When they talk about me they can have more visibility - they can go in the national newspapers not only the local newspapers.

"So I'm happy for him if he has one line in the national newspaper.

Ouch.

I'm loving the mind games from PDC, we're getting PL quality exchanges from him. Never got any of this from Hart or Wilson. Not convinced it ever has that much of an effect on the pitch, but I'm sure Evans is pretty pissed with him now.

I enjoyed that game, took a yellow then subbed. I remember chalkie winding up a young watford defender many moons ago, same result.

How about the Brentford keeper that year when we kept the ball? Ended up doing the stupid thing of keeping one back in in frustration after he'd got another, wasted another 10-20 seconds just because he was pissed off.

"He's got a tea towel on his head" and "Teeeaaaaaatowel" were also effective in getting one of the Sodje sent off.

Clayton Ince handled taunting in the right way.
