Title: Brum Airport Post by: McLovin on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 08:36:06 What's it like? Is it easy to get to from Swindon?
Title: Brum Airport Post by: Asher on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 08:38:28 I flew from there when I lived in london, was easy on the train from euston, got off and right outside airport, very quick to get through.

Title: Brum Airport Post by: magicroundabout on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 08:49:08 depending on speed your driving i would say give yourself 1hr 45mins.
if they're a slow driver i would put another 30mins on top on that Title: Brum Airport Post by: McLovin on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 08:54:55  we had bargained on 1.5 hours...
Title: Brum Airport Post by: STFCBird on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 10:09:31 It is a nice airport Dave, and very easy to get to

Title: Brum Airport Post by: jim on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 10:24:04 Have a look at whats on at the NEC at the time. If theres a major exhibition on (Crufts or whatever) allow more time to get round the M42 and get to a parking place.
Or you could park on my drive and I will ferry you there for a sizeable fee. Title: Brum Airport Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 11:34:54 I took a ride in an M3 the other day (as a passenger I still don't have a license  ). Bloody quick and my mates erratic driving scared the crap out of me
Title: Brum Airport Post by: Asher on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 11:36:44 They are fun, id expect an M3 to out do mine, although I had a mate get in it teh other night and he said this is a slow car isnt it? teh other in the car just told him hed made a mistake. Took it to 65 in second not even near teh red. His face went white after that.
M3 cobnvertables are nice as tho Title: Brum Airport Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 11:38:39 How much bhp does the pimp mobile have Asher?

Title: Brum Airport Post by: Asher on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 12:57:31 330 Ci sport coupe, yeah think it has
Title: Brum Airport Post by: Piemonte on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 12:59:28 makes my 140 bhp seem more than a little inadequate. I want a new car but cant afford one right now
A seat Leon Cupra R WILL be my next car when finances permit. Title: Brum Airport Post by: McLovin on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 13:02:37 I'm after an FTO, but insurance is £££'s :|
Title: Brum Airport Post by: Asher on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 13:08:19 The insurance on mines not that bad, teh petrol is stupid, for work im in my car alot around town and last month petrol was £300 or something, then again I was driving marie about a fair amount! Mug!
Id love a bike but would kill myslef Title: Brum Airport Post by: McLovin on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 13:24:58 You had Marie... boom boom!! 8)

Mug! Id love a bike but would kill myslef same here mate. brown bread in under a week. i'm hoping (finances permitting) that next summer i shall have a Scooby sat in my drive. Wont be brand new as i'm not that rich. But i would love one. Took a spin in Ralphy's Type R the other week. V tec is ace. and it flies too Title: Brum Airport Post by: Asher on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 13:38:05 indeed dave!
Scooby's are lush was toying with teh idea but for work needed to tone it down a bit. Type R's are very quick off teh mark, very good second gear. No point buying brand new cars anymore, second hand can pick up bargains. My brother's just got his second Ducatti but he doesnt trust me on my own on it! Title: Brum Airport Post by: magicroundabout on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 14:21:43 for me it could do with a turbo cos all the power is at 6000rpm.
if the turbo could work the 2 - 6k rpm then it would be fucking ace. I was looking at second hand scooby's and for 13k i can get a really good one. power between 210bhp and 260bhp which is enough. looking forward to seeing the new STI when it arrives in Dec. 2.5ltr Turbo. 320bhp standard  Title: Brum Airport Post by: Asher on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 14:38:13 That would be amazing! My brother had a skyline was stupid how quick it was
Title: Brum Airport Post by: walrus on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 15:59:04 It sucks, I had 10 grand to blow on a car and had to get a Corsa due to bloody insurance! Next car has to be a Corsa SRI though, I love my car to bits and with a 1.8 engine it'd be enough to scare the bollocks off me.
Asher - 52 quid to fill up a tank?! How many miles does that do you? I get about 300 miles for 30 squid, if I drive economically. Title: Brum Airport Post by: Asher on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, 16:25:05 About 300 takes the mick!
