Caddis named captain for the season

Probably right, Risser will be in and out of the team at best.

Good move. Always thought defenders made the best captain material.

Captained Scotland at under 21 level, is a talker and probably a shoe in to play every week.

Caddis played well today but he got a silly booking for mouthing off to the ref.

Paul caddis does the same thing pretty much everytime he gives away a free kick:

- Continue to play as if nothing has happened
- Once realised he's been penalised, put his hands to his head and begin running to the ref
- About halfway to the ref he'll open is arms out wide in front of him

Every time.

You are, like, the David Attenborough of football observation.

Very happy with this, has shown he is vrey good captain material and often drags the players away from the ref and deals with it himself. Plus our last Scottish captain was a hero, hopefully Cad's will be the same

Key word being 'was'.

I'd say this is was more Desmond Morris, than Attenborough.  Morris was so fascinated by how human behaviour was similar to simian behaviour, that he became a director of O*ford, in order to make more detailed studies on a weekly basis.

Let us hope that Faux Dave doesn't go the same way.

You speak of the great Desmond in the past tense Reg in fact I think you will find he is still alive and writing in Oxford. He is in fact somewhat of a traitor as he was born in Purton. Some of his books are quite a good read though particularly The Soccer Tribe and The Naked Ape. Saw him many times at the Manor wearing the biggest brown Fedora I've ever seen.

I know Desmond is still with us, but the past tense refers to his O*ford days.....what were you doing "many times at the Manor" ?

Desmond is a traitor and a Scummer. Wasn't he on the board of the Scummers at some stage?

Back in those days Reg my dear old Dad was alive and loved his Saturday football especially after most of his earlier life was spent working Saturdays as he owned Cinemas in the area. Went to the Manor on a lot of occasions when the town were to far away, loved it as it was a proper old football ground. In my opinion the demise of Oxford and its supporters started when they left the place, can remember one season driving to see the town v rovers at Eastville but when we got there as usual for Bristol torrential rain had waterlogged the pitch and the game was called off at about 1:30 but we still got back to the Manor to see Oxford by 2:55.

I remember the Town winning 4-1 at Eastville many moons ago,remember it being a massive away end.

Caddis is class, and a good choice for captain.

With the greatest of respect to Risser, Caddis should have been appointed Captain in the first place IMO. Already at the club and a known quantity both at the club and in English football. Definitely the right decision.
