Title: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: Alan Maze on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 14:58:10 I'm not here to gloat, not yet anyway. Your manager, showing the 'passion' that some of you were all demanding. Not mcuh good to you when he's sat in the stands is it? Wilder is a classy guy, kept his mouth shut all week, unlike Di Canio, who inspired Constable to score his first goals of the season. Cheers Paolo, you're an Oxford legend.
I'll probably get banned from this forum again so see you next year. Enjoy being in our shadow. Now who's laughing? Sit down, shut up. Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: Parkin09 on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 15:04:18 Game 4 of 46, See you next May.

Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: Alan Maze on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 15:18:15 Game 4 of 46, See you next May. Couldnt' agree more. I'm glad we can all get on with our seasons now. Too many of our fans are obsessed with our rivalry with you. Even on Tuesday night during the 2nd half at our place they flashed up the latest score from Dagenham. What's that all about? I'd rather you all supported Swindon than Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal etc. We will be in the top third of the league by May. As for you, your 'squad' of nobodies needs to gel, and quick. Di Canio is out of his depth, but has nothing to lose if he fails. If he does, he'll walk away with his reputation as a player intact, but a player who couldn't cut is a manager. If he's a success he'll also leave for bigger club. Quite why you appointed him is a mystery to me. Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: Seņor on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 15:21:01 Quote Sit down, shut up.. Funny that, because that's exactly what you were doing all game apart from about 20 seconds after each goal. "Sing when your winning" - not even that you yellow cunt. If we replaced Devera with somebody who could man-mark then you wouldn't have a sniff all game. You got the result and fair play to you, but spouting the kind of crap above just 5 minutes after the match we've witnessed makes you look a tool. We will be in the top third of the league by May. If so then you must have seen that our team played together well today and are gelling. And as for "squad of nobodies." That is simply a bizarre statement. In the scheme of things, pretty much all players at this level are nobodies, (today with the exception of Duberry who is a "has been"). We have players who have played at Championship level and under 21 international level, much as several teams do in this league, and we also have players that none of us had heard of until the last few weeks but that would also apply to anyone from your squad (again excepting Duberry!). The reason he was appointed as manager is that he is an intelligent and passionate character who impressed the Board enough in the professionally managed selection process. There is always a danger that a successful manager will leave for a bigger club, as we've experienced in the past. I am certain that if he had been appointed mid way through last season we wouldn't have been playing you today. Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: LucienSanchez on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 18:16:32 I was surprised by Constable... he caused a fair few problems with his effort and physicality; i always thought he was a little bit rubbish. Oops.

Seriously?Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: TheDukeOfBanbury on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 20:41:17 Seriously? First time in all my years of watching Swindon witnessing us get beat by such shite. Yet we will come back. Anyway all this usual bollocks from the Pox with the big crowd and all that - Why so many empty seats in both Pox ends ? Same old same old. Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: Arriba on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 20:43:37 first time i've seen us lose at home to the scum. They were more clinical than us and is why they have 3 points.
I'd be gloating if i was sad enough to post on their forum too Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: TheDukeOfBanbury on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 20:48:04 first time i've seen us lose at home to the scum. They are so full of shit and deluded that makes it worse. We dominated yet didn't score............still like you arriba my first time as well. I guess record had to go sometime but revenge would be kind of sweet in March if we could come away with 3 points from the Grave Yard. A win there in March will be bloody lovely Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: TheDukeOfBanbury on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 21:01:46 even though we lost there wetre planty of positives. The arkells was more atmospheric than i've ever seen it and there was more hatred for the pox than there used to be. A win there in March will be bloody lovely Agree Mate.........If we are so important to them why didn't they sell out their allocation as usual. They were so quiet as well. 38 Years I would be going mental. I took many positives from today as well. Reckon we will soon get it right and move up the league. Will be at Shrewsbury Saturday and lets hope it all starts then. To be fair to the Pox though they dug deep and got away with it. For a few legs and shins and De Vita's open goal it could have been different. Have to say Constable has improved IMO. Apart from the result it was great to have the biggest Derby in the UK back. (Can't believe I agree with Timmy Mallet on something). A few nights time the pain will pass and March will come around. Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: RJack on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 21:15:34 Despite losing today i saw enough to see that we will get better. Gabrilondo looked good when he came on and almost scored on his debut. Shame about Kerrouche he looked a live wire and had he lasted i'm sure either him or Clarke would have scored.
I agree Devera needs work on his Man Marking but he at times he defended well. He needs to learn how to head a ball away properly too. As for the 2nd goal i felt for Smithy he pushed it away but unfortunately it hit Constable and went it. Ariba has a point about our midfield there were times when we sat too deep and there was nobody in the middle to pick up that 2nd ball. I actually though J. Smith passed the ball around well. Shame McCormack was injured he genuinely looked gutted that he wasn't able to play today. There is a good team spirit out there and we will turn this around that I am confident in and i believe PDC will get things right. I always believed before the season started we'd start slow but come good & be up there come the end of the season started and i stand by that even after today. Looking forward to Shrewsbury Saturday i hope that Chippy's still there just outside there ground it did a mean Curry sauce & chips a few years back. Mix that with a few beers and a good result and i'll come home happy. Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: The Frog on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 21:20:23 You are right scum fan we do need to gel, but we still outplayed you all game with a team that hasn't gelled yet, enjoy your bragging rights whilst you've got them because come march we WILL be top and we WILL beat you and claim them rights back, also i have never felt so much passion and hatred in my body today such a wierd feeling it was ???

Can't explain the empties though.Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: Gnasher on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 21:40:06 Looking forward to Shrewsbury Saturday i hope that Chippy's still there just outside there ground it did a mean Curry sauce & chips a few years back. Can't explain the empties though. there was a couple of yours sat near me in the arkells today who i spotted as pox straight away. Gave them a wink and one smiled embarrasingly. Kept quiet so not a problem. Got a tap on the shoulder after and a hand offered to me. Nice touch. the bollocks spencer put about hundreds of them in our end was what i thought at the time. Bullshit... Title: Re: Hello Again, its been a while Post by: oxford_fan on Sunday, August 21, 2011, 21:50:36 I was in row S seat 102 in the Arkell's. I think I kept myself under cover, though I yelled at the ref at one point for what could only have been an Oxford free-kick, and was a bit slow to stand up when you scored.

Fair play to you fans who was in our end, and was sensible and didnt make any trouble. I guess its gotta be one of the hardest things to do - sit in the other team's end, and "cheer" them and not your team. If only there would still be the banter at football without all the mindless thugs just wanting to cause trouble. Can't explain the empties though. Probably the fans who lost tickets, couldn't work out where Swindon was, decided against it in the end or didn't buy them in the first place. For such an alleged big game for pox fans, in my opinion they have never supported in numbers/noise at the games i've attended in the past. No surprise. |
