WTF? never fucking happy, this guy has got 4 caps for Czechoslovakia, not Namibia,  or Malta or Lithuania, one of the better european teams, his last cap was in October of last year so he is a current international.

He is exactly what we want, a big striker with a fair strike rate, played 100 games in the Czech premier league.

Be that as it may, it doesn't mean he will be able to handle the rough, and tumble of football in league 2. I never had faith in PDC to start with, have always felt the board made a big mistake appointing him manager.

Awful isn't it?  He's played his whole career in the Czech and Romanian first divisions and even spent some time playing in the Bloody Europa League.
Why look at players like this when there must be plenty of journeyman donkeys strikers who've spent their whole career in the bottom division of English football?

We don't need a new striker... we need to learn how to create chances for the ones we have and buy a fucking centre back. It's so glaringly obvious it's annoying.

Bloody hell some of the posts here. Why bother supporting us if you are just going to moan about us signing an international footballer. Get a grip. Defence is only an issie because of set plays. Open play we havent conceded yet. Thebiggest problem so far is Di Canios team selection. He needs to drop Devera and De Vita.

New forum rule proposal: Anyone posting a screenshot from Football Manager in reference to a possible signing be warned once, and banned on occasion of a future offence.  A few years back I got Swindon to the premier league with Blair Sturrock and Lee Peacock in the team.  Its not a scouting network - its a fucking computer game.

It does not sound like we need a striker, it sounded like Clarke had a decent game and was unlucky not to score. Also it sounded like connell played well and was bright when he came on too, just wish he would start from the off. Just one thing would like to add is that I listened to jerremy wray and it left me wondering a bit as he said that this was the one striker that they had wanted from the start. So I am interested in what he will be like, sounds like he will be handful. Just hope wray is not financing everything on a quick bounce straight back as I fear the worst if the unthinkable does happen. Also think that pdc is getting closer to his starting 11 which hopefully means the squad will be more settled and will gel better. Today's performance suggested things are coming together, despite the crap scoreline, maybe giving them a tanking at their ground. Lucky the poxford had us when they did, a few weeks later and I'm sure the score line would have been better.

Football Manager is a fool proof scouting tool, you should remember the legendary Cherno Samba. But please, ffs change your setting to feet and inches. All I can decipher from that is that he's bloody tall, I'd prefer to know how bloody tall!

For what it is worth i see good things ahead,PDC has put an almost entirely new team on the pitch and the more signings he brings in the better where ever they play.
Very dissapointed with the result today of course and the start of the season but it is going to get a lot better believe me.
Any person who is doubting Di Canio after four matches really does need to get a grip.

Without reading the whole thread, I was going to say something along these lines. PDC has had ample opportunity to reshape and mould the squad he wants. I'm not saying it is easy or that after 3 defeats on the bounce he needs to go, but how many more players does he want to sign?

Sooner or later the board will say you've had enough, now work with what you have got. I'm aware the transfer window closes in a little over a week but at the moment we're linked with a new player every 5 minutes.

I'd say McCormack, Esaja, Gabilondo, Connell and Clarke all look like decent signings. The jury is still out on Risser and J Smith I suppose, but both could yet come good. And if this Czech bloke comes in, he could well be a top player for us.

I understand the frustration, but if one or two little things had gone our way over the past three games we'd be in the top half and wouldn't be having this discussion anyway...

I have not been able to find any articles explaining why that are actually in English!

He has played in the Europa League for the past three seasons and the last of his four international caps came a year ago.

He signed for Politehnica Timişoara for a reported fee of a million Euros from Banik Ostrava and signed a three year contract with the option of a two year extension. Reading between the lines, I think he turned down the extension upon the team's licence denial.

But is now wanted by russian premier league teams and has played international football recently including against spain. But hey you just feel free to judge him before he even signs

However, whilst I think this sounds like a coup for us, I also don't think it makes a lot of sense for a player to turn down what is probably decent money in the Russian Premier league to play for us in Division 4. In the article it says that he is determined to play in England. Guess at 28, this could be his last chance to make it in over here. Surprised that we are the only team in for him (apart from the Russian teams) a little bit.

conceding  4 goals from 4 set pieces over 4 games is a weakness yes, but in open play we look secure at the back even if we do have the odd gaff...

Was sat next to this guy yesterday. He is a big unit and along side Clarke should make a formidable pairing (unfortunately I don't have FM11 or FIFA12 so this is my own opinion and not one that holds any substance).

I really hope he can play Wednesday.  A City fan I know is worried as they are apparently terrible at the back.  With him and Clarke up there, it could be interesting!
