If you have bad things, you put poison in your body. One player has lost four and a half kilos.

Any idea who this was? Sorry if it's been discussed elsewhere.

“There is a moment when they have a laugh - when they arrive in the dressing room, they can all go walking naked and have fun.

So the only time the team are allowed to laugh is when they're naked.
I'd imagine thats a little uncomfortable..

Also, At a guess I'd say it was Ferry who has lost that weight..

I think it's Jonathan Smith

Town have him at 64kg

Soccerbase have him at 71kg
http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=41828

That is some very sad research on my part.

Lou Macari would be proud.

Caddis looks very trim, in a non-sexual way you understand.

We also have him three inches shorter, which is a mighty impressive diet.

although i like the way Di Canio has got the side fitter and increased training etc,not ever giving them a day off seems a bit ott. I'm sure the lads will soon get pissed of with it if it continues. What started as a positive could soon become a negative

In his defence it's literally just in for an hour for a massage

It's their job and they're paid to do it. I don't see how a footballer can complain about his workload in comparison with 99% of the general population.

If they dont like it - they can fuck off.

They get paid enough. It should have always been like this.

Thought Timlin looked quite trim as well yesterday.  Thought he had a good game without setting the world alight!

I'm not saying he is getting it wrong or anything like that, but too much of it could turn into a negative. A happy team will always play better than an unhappy one. Having players in every day will eventually lead to a bit of discontent after a while like it would to anyone else in any job. Everyone likes time off work, footballers are no different.
I'm sure he will allow them rest when he thinks the time is right.

Theres a balance, but of all professional athletes, I would say footballers are the best paid but the least commited in terms of their diet.

They can have a day off when we get a performance that earns it. I'm all for the Lou Macari-esque approach.
