So the highlight of the summer is nearing us ladies and gentlemen, and I cannot contain my excitement.  This will be the 4th time I'll have seen Oasis and I'm truly expecting this to out-do the previous gigs by a country mile.

A mate at work has said that the bowl website is saying Oasis will come on at 8, not sure if this is true, if it is I hope it's so they can play a mammouth gig lasting a couple of hours.

Now we all know Whits was at Manchester on Saturday, and he's going again thie weekend - commitment - I applaud you, you lad!  Anyhow, what time did they start at the City of Manchester Stadium, and roughly how long was the set?

The gig started about 8.30-9ish, finished at about 10.30-10.45 (it was a sunday, different laws on licensing for gigs).

I would expect this to be a bit longer and if they play the same song at the end its well worth waiting for  8)  8)  8)  8)

Is it a cover by an old band?  First and last letters of the song title being M and N?

It's Monkey Gone To Heaven by the Pixies. I was thinking married with children by oasis but that wouldn't be a cover and is one of their worst songs anyway.

If they wanted to do only songs beginning with m and ending with n how about Mr Tambourine Man by Bob Dylan?

Wowza - only once have a had a better time in my life, when Swindon won the play-offs.

Got to the bowl about 10:50, nice and early.  Anyhow got into the pit at the front and was about 6 feet from the barrier.  

If any of you saw someone waving a brown hat around on the big screens when the crowd was shown then you spotted me, otherwise nevermind.

Going to up about 5 this afternoon to get a ticket from a tout I reckon and do it all again.

i got offered a ticket for £20 yesterday, going well cheap, i think they had real trouble selling this one out

You could get tickets yesterday for cheaper than if you ordered them (if you include booking fee)  :shock:

Right I'm definately going again tonight.  Leaving about half five so we can see the Coral too.

Think I'll just hang back tonight though, I couldn't possibly put my body through last nights extasy I don't think.

Trouble with last night being so good is that it is surely going to be a very long time befor I can feel that way agian - I was literally inches away from crying I was so happy.

The touts outside the bowl  end up selling the tickets for 10 or 20 quid at most of the concerts.

I couldnt do it two nights in a row (ahem, Oasis that is). Takes too much out of you, especially if you go out after.

I declare I saw the best gig of the lot anyway. Saturday in Manchester - cant beat it.

Anyone hear about all the trouble at the Soton gig? Southampton and Pompey kicking off everywhere.

As spencer will know, had  8 lads over last night before going out, watched footy dvd's beer and listened to oasis, nothing beats it! Benn blasting out oasis in teh car all day as well.

I think we should get some Oasis tunes blasted out before the Home games as it would get us Town enders going even more.

Well, did it all again mate.  £35 for two tickets - a sly £20 to a steward I met last night for a couple of pit wrist bands.

£27.50 each to get in gon 18:00 and get in the pit again - cannot be beaten.

Anyhow they were bang on form again.  I was sober tonight after having a few beers yesterday, so basically I'v had the best of both worlds over the weekend.
