Are now advertising on the telly for more supporters ...

How fucking sad.

Well it's sad, but if it works then we should give it a go.  Good advertising can work wonders.

"Please come and see us, we need the money!!"

Nah - footy has never been about that.  The wider problem, and the reason City have gone down this road, is the lack of lower league football exposure on normal telly.

Premiership - whole show.  Championship - whole (but terrible) show.  Both on at the weekend.

League One/Two - bollocks programme tucked away on a Thursday night showing highlights from five days ago.

Nothing is better that showing how exciting the game is, and I simply don't think you'll tempt the fringe supporters with a 30 second spot in the middle of Footballers' Wives or sommit.

Tis a bit of a shocker that.

Can't help but think it will turn out like a retail outlet ad, the sort you see offering cut price carpets on Sundays.

Guaranteed to be amusing.

And I'll never see it over my way, unless it goes national of course. :?
