Title: For Sale Post by: walrus on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 14:22:03 Renault Twingo GT TCE (100) for sale. MP3 stereo with iPod connectivity, air-con and decals. Has currently completed just under 42,000 miles and has been lovingly cared for. Is an especially good purchase for a young driver, as whilst it's very nippy (0-100kph in under 10 seconds) still qualifies for a relatively low insurance grouping and still manages to be economical.
The car is due for an MOT next month, and will require two new front tyres. The car also has a small scratch on the driver's door, which I have been quoted £200 for repair. For this reason, selling at just £4,995 ono. The car has a full service history, and is next due for a service in 7,000 miles. Title: Re: For Sale Post by: walrus on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 14:34:29 That's following Swindon Town - I'm an exile!
Replacing it with an Alfa Romeo Mito Cloverleaf. And it's French Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Samdy Gray on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 16:19:45 Is that playpark where you do all your grooming?

Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Bewster on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 17:21:47 Packet of sweets next to the gear stick? Reckon it is. And what look to be hand-cream - kinky Title: Re: For Sale Post by: walrus on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 19:29:08 Haha yes, yes it is.
No, that's outside my parent's house in Bracknell. It's a running joke that my dad's study looks out over the playground (hey, I have a sick family!). :D What's wrong with French cars?! I fear I may miss the Twingo's build-quality and reliability when I swap it for the Alfa!! Title: Re: For Sale Post by: pumbaa on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 19:38:44 build-quality and reliability Someone please help me to stop laughing...... Alfa make some lovely cars. Very nearly bought a 147, until head overruled heart. Enjoy the Mito. Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Bewster on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 19:43:09 Alfa make some lovely cars. Very nearly bought a 147, until head overruled heart. Enjoy the Mito. ditto you do know that the MITO is a Punto underneath ? Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Coca Fola on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 19:43:55 I nearly bought an 8C Competizione but wallet overruled head. :(
Title: Re: For Sale Post by: walrus on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 19:54:39 ditto you do know that the MITO is a Punto underneath ? Most cars are something else underneath nowadays. The Mito doesn't drive like a Punto, although there are similarities, but the Cloverleaf has uprated everything underneath, so goes like stink! When it works, I'll have the goofiest grin on my face.... An 8C is a stunning car, but I think if I was spending that kind of money I'd have to get a safer bet! Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Barry Scott on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 19:55:04 I nearly bought an 8C Competizione but wallet overruled head. :( I think that's my favourite car pretty much ever. It doesn't matter how often I see pictures of it, I still get excited. When the 458 Fezza came out, it instantly became my number 1, but then within but a few months, the Fezza was sitting a distant third behind the 8C and the dreamy Duettottanta (yes, I know it's a concept). The 8C is staggeringly beautiful. Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Bewster on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 20:00:18 When it works, I'll have the goofiest grin on my face.... To be honest you'll only have to look at it to get that grin........it is stunning. enjoy and report back Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Coca Fola on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 20:05:11 I think that's my favourite car pretty much ever. Looks amazing from every angle.Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Gnasher on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 20:15:21 That's following Swindon Town - I'm an exile! Replacing it with an Alfa Romeo Mito Cloverleaf. http://images.newcarnet.co.uk/galleries/galleries/gallery_575/IMG_4540.jpg Nice looking cars but Alfa's are pretty unreliable and expensive to fix. Title: Re: For Sale Post by: BANGKOK RED on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 20:19:58 Nice looking cars but Alfa's are pretty unreliable and expensive to fix. You've been watching top gear as well then? Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Coca Fola on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 20:21:47 At least one of you has to buy a Yugo. No Yugo, I go.

Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Sussex on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 20:23:52 Being an insurance bod, you'd hope Walrus has AA/RAC/Green Flag/Dad's tow bar chucked in with his policy.
Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Coca Fola on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 20:24:16 I didn't realise what I'd done until I posted it. :toocool:
Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Simon Pieman on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 21:22:29 I was considering buying a Mito when they first went on sale. Girly as fuck when you physically see them though
Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Gnasher on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 21:24:54 You've been watching top gear as well then? No, worse than that. I had one! Title: Re: For Sale Post by: walrus on Sunday, June 19, 2011, 13:52:10 Being an insurance bod, you'd hope Walrus has AA/RAC/Green Flag/Dad's tow bar chucked in with his policy. Or free from the dealer for three years! It's on a PCP deal so I'll probably keep it the three years then chuck it. The PCP deal means I can be childish about choice and not have to worry about reliability/residules etc.! I saw it on Friday... stunning, cannot wait to get my grubby mits on it! Title: Re: For Sale Post by: The Grim Reaper on Sunday, June 19, 2011, 17:30:29 Walrus, might I suggest you MOT the car early as not many people will concider a car with only 1 month MOT. All very well you saying it needs 2 tyres but many people would be put off that it could be costly to MOT should anything else be found needing put right.
Title: Re: For Sale Post by: walrus on Monday, June 20, 2011, 11:14:13 Very true Mr. Reaper, but I already have a decent price fixed on the car for part ex from the Alfa dealer, so my attempts to sell it are to see if I can get slightly more. £5k for a Twingo GT is a steal - most are going for £6k+, albeit with lower miles (it was 10.5k new). Mine is also the blue one with the chequers, which is the one most would want. Unfortunately, the Twingo is not a popular car and mine would appeal to quite a specific audience.
I know I have as much chance of selling it on here as I do pulling, but I'm trying to hit enough people to find that one boy-racer who's looking for a fast but cheap-to-insure car. The car is sweet as a nut, but yes having an impending MOT is a gamble and to be brutally honest, not one I can be arsed with nor do I need to risk! I've had it serviced recently, and I'm told that the tyres are the only thing that needs doing, but obviously I'm not going to be able to convince a potential buyer that! I have invited inspections in my adverts online. As a guide, webuyanycar.com offers £4,100. This is in the region of the part ex price, and WBAC are renowned for knocking down price on delivery. Anyone know of any good webuyanycar alternatives? Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Batch on Monday, June 20, 2011, 12:18:48 Anyone know of any good webuyanycar alternatives? My Mrs got £155 cash for scrapping her X-reg Citroen Xsara. HTH. Title: Re: For Sale Post by: LucienSanchez on Monday, June 20, 2011, 14:40:09 ***Thread hijack***

Title: Re: For Sale Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, 11:18:34 Stick it on eBay Lucien. The standard car ad is very cheap and you don't run the risk of selling it off too cheap in a proper auction
