Title: Weymouth - Holiday
Post by: herthab on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, 15:39:34
I am going to Weymouth later in the year but have no idea how long is sufficient. Given that its 45 minute drive from here you must be looking at over a week, but 10 or 14 days ?- can anybody that has been recommend how long to go for? (I now await the 'go forever and stay there' comments

I've heard that it's the type of town that can trap you in (if the tides are wrong)  Try and organise a trip to the renowned 'penny falls', an unforgettable experience.

Weymouth - home of the bingo, a sensual and mysterious pastime for all

I'd say 14 days, you'll lose a couple of days through jet lag.

You need at least 2 nights to explore all the bars, clubs and nightspots.

Although you'll probably have to stay for 7 because thats how long the holliday leases on the caravans are.

Cool place- Yates is great at night much better than the one in Swindon.

Take a day trip to the Channel Islands when you are there if you can-around £30 return which you can easily save on your duty free goods.

Some good pubs alomng the front. If you need a good guesthouse try Oaklands Edwardian guesthouse in Glendinning avenue- great place and owners, just behind the station.

A fucking coat? I reluctantly wear a condom with a holiday shag but never a coat. I'd seriously take a look at the birds you are pulling if you need that much protection.

I more surprised that there were BMX bikes when you were a kid.

Ha

Being a parks boy, it was a rare opportunity for me to brag about possessions. I'm still finding bragging about my super tuff burner very satisfying right now as it happens.

Go for 14 days.  You still wouldn't have a pint in every pub.  You will definitely enjoy it.  :D

 :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint: :pint:

The drawback with the super tuff burner was that the playing cards in the spokes didn't have quite the same effect.
