Just poured a largish whisky.

I am enduring the wife listening to Take That - she is going to watch them tomorrow and I am too lazy to go upstairs and get some headphones.

Surely you could fly for the cost of the train ticket?

I'm enjoying the booze given to me at work today.

And a little tip, always keep your headphones near the laptop. Helps when the wife is watching shit on TV.

Like wiggy said, it might not be all bad. The last exam I sat I thought I'd failed miserably, but I actually aced it and got 49/50  ???

Just a weekend away really. Something closer would have been easier but Edinburgh seemed to be the favoured choice.

Anyone ever been and reccomend anything in particular to do?

I'm drinking whisky that I got from duty free.................wishing I was still on holiday, or at least wishing there was football to keep me occupied

I once went to Glenrothes and that completely put me off ever going back to Scotland.

I rarely listen to albums any more, I just stick the player on shuffle and let it decide.

Well I did well on all the questions apart from the essay at the end. It's just a shame the essay is worth half the marks.

I did that for ages, but have set it back to playing whole albums again recently.

What exam did you have?


I had an exam last week I thought went ok. Since then I've found out that one of the questions was unanswerable. Despite me putting an answer down..

Today was Geography for me. I also do Spanish and French.

They did make a mistake on an AS Geog retake I did last week. Unanswerable questions seem to be all the rage at AQA these days.

I tried to but I obviously didn't do enough.

Which essay did you attempt, and the smaller structured questions? How do you know you've catastrophically failed it? You never know some examiners get it so wrong its pointless even giving them a pension.

I did Tectonics and Conflict and Challenge for the structured questions and World Cities for the essay.

You worried by the essay or the structured questions? The essays for both Conflict and World Cities looked tricky. The World Cities looked hard to structure and so the majority of our lot went for the Conflict essay despite it being a little precise. What makes you think you've failed it?

I did ok up until the essay. But my essay lacked structure and synopticity. And I sort of ran out of things to say....
