Title: Old Personal Documents
Post by: Gazza's Fat Mate on Saturday, June 11, 2011, 17:20:52
Just spent the last few hours clearing out a whole fucking chest of drawers of bank statements old credit cards statements etc etc ended up with five black bags full of paper work.

Anyway don't want to just put these bags out in the rubbish id theft and all that. But I have no idea what to do with them?

Does anyone work for a shredding company or know of any compaines that let you rock up and shredd stuff?

Was thinking that but don't have a big garden, it would be messy and fucking up my lawn.

You realise you can just put it in cardboard boxes (no bigger than the plastic boxes) and they'll take it?

I took my last clearout into my previous company as the payroll dept had a rather large shredding machine - and they helped me shred it all as well

Well I'm in charge of "document disposal" at work but I am only allowed to get the shredders in once a year in January and I can't have 5 bins bags knocking about for 6 months.

Do you have a compost bin? A bit of torn up paper as a layer once a week in between grass cuttings and stuff helps the compost a treat.

Buy a hamster and line it's cage with the papers. They will be shredded in no time and the hamster will be nice and warm. Everyones a winner.

Could buy a shredder fairly cheap or look here if you're lazy:

Stop being a fussing cunt, accept it's extremely unlikely anyones going to steal your ID and throw it out like any other fucking rubbish.

I have an open fire in my house, it comes in very handy for this reason. Not much help to you GFM, but I don't really give a fuck about that.
