What have Colchester done to deserve this? I know their manager was complaining toward the end of the season that he'd had been told his budget would be slashed next season so he would struggle to put a decent squad together, but didn't think he'd be barrel-scraping quite so soon

According to Wikipedia (I know, I know) he joined us in June 2010 on an initial two year deal, with an option for a third year. Does this mean we've released him or have Colchester actually paid fucking money for this Northern wankrag?

As for Timlin when he was on loan from Fulham he played at LB for us and did exeptionally well. i still think he has something to offer us and would like to see him stay next year. In league 2 he wouldn't look out of his depth at LB either

My memory of Timlin at left back is that he had one really good game and then got found out. LJF was regularly caught out of position but at least tried to get back and recover situations, and often managerd a last ditch tackle to do so.

Tremendous news on a Monday morning, I am sure that Rose will light up the Weston Homes Community Stadium with all his out of positioning defending, terrible tackling, backing off wingers, slagging off home fans on Twitter and the odd decent free kick.

Timlin at LB - can anyone remember his stint back there under Malpas?  He is better suited to the central midfield job in my opinion.

Lecs at LB - although he may not be the best and prone to the odd mistake he would be a better option there but would be more suited to CB.  New manager will probably bring in a new LB, why not give Kennedy a go?

The big question is, was Rose any better than Drysdale, Elkins or Heiselberg?

Talking to a mate who is a Rotherham fan he told me Kennedy was seen as very poor by most fans, he was part of a team that got baten 5-0 by Chesterfield taken off at half time and never played again for them.
From when I have seen him play he is perhaps a decent back up in league 2 but not good enough as first choice left back

Good news, Rose would never have been 1st choice next season, any new manager would have seen he's not good enough and got somebody else in I would have thought and he'd have been sat on the bench taking up some of the wage budget.

I honestly don't think he's as bad as people are making out. Mediocre but not total shit. I won't be losing sleep on it though, he's no Greer.

However I do think he is a bit of a 'too good' in attitude. Which is why we are a million times better off without him and anyone else of the same mindset.
