No change of Hart in formation

PAUL Hart insists the arrival of Calvin Andrew does not necessitate a change in formation for tomorrow's pivotal match with relegation rivals Dagenham  Redbridge at the County Ground.

Yeah Hart can dress it up anyway he likes but it looked like 4-5-1 to me tuesday night at Plymuff  :(

Ha, Deffo 4-5-1 whether he intended it or not. Grella was flicking it on to noone most of the Walsall game.

But it's all going so well. Why change anything?

And 'No change of Hart'?  Come on Adver. Enough already :crash:

it is obviously intended as 4,4,3 as he has stated it is,and is set up as if we are the team going forward.when on the back foot that will become 4,5,1 with the two wide of the 3 forwards becoming midfielders.
all well and good for a confident side to employ it.i'm afraid i can't see it working for us now.
arsenal, chelsea and man u have played this formation to success, but you have to be the side in accendency for it to look like 4,3,3.

Agreed Ariba and it was evident on tuesday night at Plymouth and at Home to Walsall last saturday.

Andrew as the big man with Grella and Ritchie playing off him?

Got to a remember that some Adver stories should come with a disclaimer that all characters portrayed in the story are purely quoted out of context and any similarity to real life events are purely coincidental.

Surely Michael Rose is to get dropped from the starting eleven according to his tweet today...

Looks that way, Rose sounds well pissed off judging by his tweet "A few people got their wish !!!"

I wonder if it had anything to do with Tuesday night? There seemed to be a spat with Rose Cuthbert a few away fans near me.

If they lose tomorrow, it will get extremely ugly...twitter will go into meltdown.

I wouldn't want to see a player dropped because of a spat. Shit happens in the heat of the moment, we need our best players.

I do think Sheehan is a better player mind.

Or indeed any form of pointless 1920s ankle wear

(And yes I am hoping to provoke Reg into a spat/gaiter-based anecdote)

:). He's like the Uncle Albert of the forum, but without the "during the war" prologue.

To be honest if players wore snoods then spat style boots can't be far away

Yeh, lets play for a draw, that will be a lot of fucking use.

You all seem to be forgetting our last win came with a 4-5-1 formation. Clearly this is the only way forward.

Sorry, cannot even remember our last win - let alone which formation we used!

With Austin up front. Austin makes up for two of our forwards.

Because that formation has been working so well hasn't it?  We're bottom of the fucking table and need to score goals - what a joke.

I was in two minds whether to go tomorrow, this has probably made it up for me.  My 7 year old is going to a birthday party, which he's chosen to go to over the football on the basis that 'They never win when I go anyway'.  Would sound a more plausible comment if he only attended a game here and there, but he's got a bloody season ticket!

Good work....think they belong to Jack Tinn....bespatted manager of Pompey, when I saw them win the cup in 39.

why?
the personel used is irrelivant.
it's clearly what hart wants it to be,unless he's lying about it.

It's not a huge leap of logic to think that the two wingers can get forward, making 3 up front.

Not a huge leap of logic for most anyway.

1+2 = 3?

It is a huge leap the way we have played it. 4-5-1 while defending and mostly 4-5-1  when attacking.

Regardless I don't like the formation. I'd prefer us to go at the opposition than play on the break after 57 sidewards and backward passed.

Talking to a mate who's a Luton fan, he reckoned Andrew  will put himself about, but can't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, so needs to play in a 4-4-2.

Title: Re: Adver News: No change of Hart in formation

fact is we dont have the quality going forward to justify playing 4-4-2.

This is just our shitness laid bare.

We have Benyon, Grella & Andrew now so we could easily go 4-4-2.

True but if we only included players that haven't been shit our formation would probably be 0-0-0.

Which is ironically very close to the best result we seem to manage at home currently

This fucking persecution complex again. Get this into your thick head you stupid Northern cunt, I wanted you to be the best left back in the world. I wanted you to be the best defender we've ever had. If people get their wish its because you have been consistently shite all season. Unfortunately having a great free kick does not make you a player or a defender. People want you dropped because they believe we've got better players in your position and with 600 left backs, you should be 601 in the queue. Instrad of feeling sorry for yourself, train hard and make yourself better.

JPM, Douglas, Ferry, Ritchie should be a brilliant L1 midfield.

Weve got to be careful we dont rubbish all our players. We'll need a lot of them next season.

We better see what this Andrew can do before we start saying how good he is. Might be no better than Pericard.

Still doubts about Benyons fitness. Id like to see Grella sign permanent. Looks like an honest player, who can control/pass a football.

It's not 4-3-3. We'll play 4-5-1 with an overloaded midfield and a hope of stealing a goal.

Other people have pointed it out before now, but our problem with conceding to many hasn't been (just) with our defence, it's been with our organised midfield aswell.

I can see where Hart's coming from. He's going for the equaliser (not literally, with a Z or something). Stop them scoring first. Steal a lucky goal second. Unfortunately for him and us, we can't steal a goal for offering off sex at lucky grandmas at the job centre.

I take it back, Andrew looked good yesterday and we have now got the players to play 4-4-2 again.
