The stats don't look good for relegation-threatened Swindon Town

IT can be foolish to look back at seasons past to try to garner some kind of perspective on the current campaign.

Its not just the Stats, the Odds for tomorrow look pretty grim with Swindon at 4-1 to win (Might actually take that)
However still hopeful as ever, as the fat lady is still a shadow in the wings everything still to play for, with this week being the real litmus test. Solid performance on Saturday if not an expansive game so looking forward to tomorrow, Plymouth were crap in the cup so a 1-0 win to us with Rose scoring...

Julias, of your 49 posts, about 48 are stat/odds related. Are you Jon Mccrewick (sp?)
I have visions of you making hand signals whilst typing...

Oh, and change the record. Its boring.

:sherlock: No shit....seeing as how this is the weakest side since the formation of Div3 in 58, the stats wont look good. The only thing left for this season is can we avoid the ignominy of finishing last?

Which is not looking likley with Plymouth's upturn in form.

Hopefully Wovers ongoing spiral into comedy will at least keep us off the bottom spot

Wovers appointed a couple of Scummers as their management team...a recipe for disaster.

With them out of the door, there's every chance they'll pick up....

They're not bothering - interim appointment of club captain till end of season. In other words, "we're stuffed anyway, may as well at least save on manager + backroom staff's wages for next two-three months"

We may avoid that at least then!

What I don't understand is the choice between:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Johnson_(footballer)#Managerial_statistics

and

Who said there was a choice?

Who said there was a choice?

I'm just assuming we'd have been a more attractive option than fucking Northampton..... but maybe not

According to my HP, Johnson was never "a choice".

Then the question has to be asked

'Why the fuck not?'

If Rose's shot had gone in instead of being pushed onto the bar, there would have been people on here hailing Hart as our saviour and saying "thank God we didn't get Johnson in". FACT.

But it didn't go in, and it might seem like tough luck, but the truth is that we'll have shots which might have gone in but were inches off when we're winning games too. It's the same for every team, if we were creating enough goal scoring opportunities, with the front of goal ability to finish them, then the "might have been" chances wouldn't matter.

If we're down to the point of "that might have gone in on another day" then we're in trouble. Teams have them every game, winning or losing.

Not a fact at all but I think you already knew that.

I can't speak for everyone but I think its safe to say one win against a Walsall side that didn't even want to win wouldnt all of a sudden make Gary Johnsons managerial record any worse of Paul Harts amazingly better.

I think we dropped a bollock not getting Johnson, we'll see I suppose...
