But do the players really "Believe" him?

I watched his very uncomfortable interview on Player from after S'ton yesterday. The man could bore for England. Though it was worth it for the bit at the end, which I'll precis for those of you who don't have Player, or who have retained sufficient will to live not to want to view his morose musings.

Interviewer: Have the players got the character to get out of this position?
PS: Are you asking me my opinion?
Int: Yes.
PS: You want my opinion?
Int: Yes.
PS: Um, yeah, I think so.
Int: Thank you.

We're in deep trouble, make no mistake.

From the article:

"The players have got to out a good shift it."

Poor sub-editing, or was Shirtliff having a stroke during this interview?

This bit doesn't make sense either.
Quote from: Shirty
I don't think anything is down to a lack of hard work but we sometimes lack of thought and some devilment in both boxes.

Maybe that's the problem, he waffles on incoherently and the players run out on to the field thinking
"What the fuck was he going on about?"
"I don't know, just run around and nod at him occasionally"

Bit harsh to blame him for what looks like an extremely poorly written article, full of typos.
