Title: Bird Watching
Post by: Ralphy on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, 14:06:00
Over the past 2 days my quiet town has become over run with folk queuing to get a glimpse of the apparently very rare Oriental Turtle Dove. One has took up residence in some guys garden and he's charging every person £5 to come in his kitchen and have a look !!!

right, so the homeowner saw the bird once on Tuesday and has been charging people £5 to get in since?

Interesting.

I saw a dodo outside my flat.

Don't think it's the homeowner who's charging, it's the RSPB.

At £5 per person, he could make a right little nest egg

I doubt it, RSPB reserves are all free entry...

Ah yes, I misread the article sorry. It is the guy who's charging but he's giving the proceeds to bird charities (or so he says).
