Title: FL TV Rights Post by: Power to people on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, 14:03:21 I see that the FL has sent out the tender document for live games for 3 or 4 years from season 12/13 - they are now offering a Thursday night package of championship games, these will include games moved from midweek and from the weekend.
I expect with a new package it will generate more money so there will be a few more teams trying to keep their championship status to keep the money flowing in http://www.football-league.co.uk/staticFiles/95/6c/0,,10794~158869,00.pdf Title: Re: FL TV Rights Post by: pauld on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, 14:06:57 I expect with a new package it will generate more money so there will be a few more teams trying to keep their championship status to keep the money flowing in Whereas otherwise they wouldn't bother?Title: Re: FL TV Rights Post by: reeves4england on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, 15:23:54 Thursday nights??? Think we had 1 against Reading?
Dont agree with saturday fixtures getting moved to thursdays, plenty of mid week fixtures they can move. Trouble is Spencer, if they move a mid week to a Thursday - that doesn't leave enough recovery time for the Saturday. I think the vast majority of clubs would take the money and play twice in 3 days. Barry Knight (remember him) sent off McAreavey and Reeves. Title: Re: FL TV Rights Post by: sonicyouth on Thursday, February 17, 2011, 21:20:05 0-0 wasn't it. 2001/2002 I think. My first game, not counting the ones I got dragged along to when I was too young to know what the fuck was going on.
