As far as I'm concerned he's dead to us.Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: shady on Saturday, February 5, 2011, 21:03:55 I'm as aggrieved as you but I felt it was relevant from the point of view of how a guy makes such a stratospheric rise through the ranks and remarks upon the change in culture entailed in so doing :-[
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: RJack on Saturday, February 5, 2011, 22:33:40 soapy tit wank i just read this comment about Austin on the Burnley forums :D
#2 05 Feb 2011 18:22 re:Charlie Austin ... Only seen Austin once which was today. I have no doubts that he will be a good signing. He didn't have much impact today and I wouldn't be upset if he lost a few pounds. Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: carbonwhite on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 00:09:06 not even mentioned in the highlights on football league show :D
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: tans on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 00:36:42 Fuck that twat
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: shady on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 04:06:08 Think back when you were his age, (no indiscretions?) give the guy a break! He's irrelevant now but I wish him well, any other sentiments would be just pettiness, lest we meet The Clarets anytime soon.
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 06:33:46 He's a knob. End of story.
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: BelfastRobin on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 14:52:40 Went to Burnley - Norwich yesterday as my housemates are Norwich fans and Charlie was a bit off the pace. He had half a chance in the early moments but mis-kicked. He worked hard but struggled with the pace of the game....as we all know he'll be fine once he plays a few games.
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: carbonwhite on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 15:36:56 Hope not
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: shady on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 17:30:52 Sorry guys, I posted this when I was very drunk, along with the Alan Partridge thread. That Tescos cider really does have a tendency to catch up, back on it now so excuse any future mistakes. PS. Yeh, what the fuck am I doing backing up Charlie, he's a KNOB.

Really looking forward to it :( Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: Ralphy on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 17:59:23 Fat boy Charlie can't hack it :D
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 20:00:45 Honestly, he's a simple lad. Not really a knob.
Having said that, only time Ive met him personally was in the bar after we played Hungerford Town away pre season before he went big time. Forget Charlie Austin and move on. Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: pauld on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 20:19:09 I think the only people who are making themselves look like knobs are the ones who are so bitter that a player chose to move on. Mild indifference is the only dignified response
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: Oaksey Moonraker on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 21:50:17 It will be interesting to see how Charlie settles at Burnley but if you take his last games for us and his first two for Burnley that's no goals in 6 games. Being subbed on 70 and 60 mins suggests maybe he needs to make another step up in fitness and that he's no longer the main man. If Charlie goes on a barren run then will the Burnley supporters be patient on their big signing as compared with if the same happened here. That will be the test of his qualities how he copes with adversity.
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: carbonwhite on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 21:55:57 Jay Rodriguez had a great game against Norwich i dont think they would worry to much about austin if they had someone else banging them in
Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: shady on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 21:57:20 I met him at Poole Town FC and he seemed fine, though I believe there was serious grounds for some of the rumours floating around, however, they are just that- rumours. Good luck Charlie, but not as much as Coxy or Fallon. Indulge us that much for the manner of your departure.

Title: Re: Charlie (?) interview Post by: Saxondale on Sunday, February 6, 2011, 22:36:06 Wednesday night and yesterday he's played for them.

OK, my bad.I will say one last thing about Charlie though and never mention him again. This picture looks plain wrong.. Like I said in another thread, Torquay FC will hopefully become our new twin-town, and Benyon our new darling :beers:
