And having lured him - according to journo-speak anyway - the club will then 'swoop' for his signature.  In my imagination, this involves the Chairman bungee jumping from an elevated platform with a pen & contract in one hand.  With his other hand, he plucks the unsuspecting player from the ground and demands his signature on the paper before promising to let him down.

"A source close to Fitton insisted the player is being lured to the club, with the promise of being groomed for first team football. He is very much looking forward to romping with the other players' wives".

:) Likewise, I've always imagine "snapping a player up" involving the chairman/manager in a crocodile suit, and "capturing" a player involving one of those big nets you see in cartoons

And no doubt once his signing is completed, Danny Wilson will lead him out with a blanket over his head where he will be 'unveiled' to the local media. And of course if he does well, the ground staff will be looking out for any low flying football managers over the CG or indeed the training ground,  wanting to 'swoop' for him.

Just hope we don't end up 'rocked' at news he's agreed to go to Huddersfield/Burnley/Crawley

Never mind that I was worried all week that some careless person might have their fingers at risk if they had them in the transfer window.

What sort of window do we think the transfer window is?

Is it one of those lift up ones? Or and outy?

Either way it always seems to slam.

Maybe that Bartley lad fixes it, he used to be a window fitter.

How can we lure him and chase him at the same time? And if we catch him does that put his fitness/pace in doubt? Did anyone see which way he went?

Not sure how this has leaked out, but think it better to know nothing until scarf over head shot.

Obviously just using standard Pokeballs. Perhaps Wilson should try a Great Ball or even an Ultra Ball.

Or put him to sleep first, that always used to work.
