Boardwalk Empire just wasn't my thing at all so didn't bother after the first episode. As for Blue Bloods, it's an actual police drama, focusing on the police officers (and their lives) - none of this "using experts to crack crimes" nonsence like Bones or Numbers - which seemed alright to start with. But i lost interest after a few episodes because again it just wasn't my thing...won't say more because it'l spoil it, and i think my reasons for not wanting to watch it are pathetic.

Quite impressed with Blue Bloods as well, big focus on the character aspect as opposed to the crime storylines. With complete repeats of The Sopranos & The Wire on the way this could be a channel of epic proportions. Based on the way Sky have been promoting it I thought it was going to be something special, but having looked at their shows for the next week or so it looks a piss poor line up to me. Only a few new shows (all of which have limited appeal) and the rest is just repeats of old show. Not surprised Virgin are refusing to pay much for it as it's worth fuck all, wouldn't even make my top 10 entertainment channels. It's typical of Sky though - over paying for the rights to shows that were being shown on free to air channels and then expecting their customers to pay extra for them.
