Question the Swansea scouting system if there is any truth in that.

I thought he was excellent on Tuesday. We seem to be selling off our squad either in preparation for relegation or Wilson wants some big dosh to spend (probably the former).

Or question our defensive coach who has seemingly managed to make every one of our defenders fucking shit this season.

It depends how much ££££ is being offered really doesn't it?

If it's £50k then I'd tell them where to go, but if it's £250k then I think we'd probably all agree that's a pretty good deal for a raw talent who we got on a free.

Except we'd be left with 3 centre backs, one of those on loan and another has no experience.

So we'd have to get yet another centre back in, so what's the point of letting him go?

The point is to make money isn't it?  The same reason Greer was sold, and many others before.  Obviously it leaves us without any cover, but if the offer is silly money then surely you'd take it and find a replacement.

The bigger issue is our problem with a) signing players and b) not taking months to sign them.

When Greer left we still had Cuthbert, Morrison and LJF. If we let LJF go it will be just Cuthbert.

So without getting a replacement first this would be even dumber than letting Greer go.

Ware not a fucking shop for buying and selling players.....its starting to really fuck me off all this selling shit..
Yeah it gets a few quid in the bank.....but its players we need not money...the Austin deal will sort that.

Oh and for all you doubters......Rogers knows nothing about players does he....taken Swans to the top of the Championship...what a mug.
Chances are playing in a team ware the defence isn't constantly under pressure he will flourish...i like him and hope he stays.

This thread is a fucking embarrassment.

For all we know, there is and never has been any plan to sell LJF yet we still get the meltdown. Fucking ridiculous.

Some of you should know better, but obviously don't.

The TEF started for a specific reason. 1 Gold star for anybody who remembers what that reason was.

I hear you.  I like him too.  He's decent in the air, can play CB or LB, not slow, can play football and has a touch.  He's obviously not the finished article, and prone to losing concentration.

But let's say we get this 'new' CB in tomorrow, then they offer £300,000 plus a sell-on fee.  Would you not flog him?

No Rodney i wouldnt.
My personal opinion is that the sales of Cox and Austin has more than balanced the books....with the sell ons to Reading and Poole we are going to get around 2 million the pair......the sale of Morrison,Greer....and maybe JFL irks me.....good players going(my opinion)...and not easily replacable.
To be fair the club have spent out on the Scottish duo and Ritchie......and Flint.

I feel the club need to splash out(sensibly) on a star name to try and win some fans back..because they will struggle to attract season ticket buyers next season...............love him or hate him Austin had that star quality that a lot of Swindons youngsters liked.....he was cocky and good.....young fans like that.

We cant just keep selling everytime a decent offer comes in.

I think he is a better young talent than Morrison to be honest. More potential.

But he has a crazy gamblers streak in his game.

Always amazes me the fans who compare him to Ifil. Jerel Ifil used to mess up because he couldnt trap a bag of cement. Lescinel fucks up because he's always trying to take the piss.

If someone can just get into his brain and teach him how to rationalise his risk taking then he will be a top player. And thats why managers are interested, they think they can tame the gambler.

He is a bit of a wildcard continuing the theme, but def has talent. I'm not convinced by Wilsons answer, that sounded like the classic not heard officially, but there is something in it type bluff, but who knows.  Oh and 9k a week, ha ha. 9k a quarter would be nearer the mark.

Two rather random links (hibs and swansea) in as many games.

If I had to take a guess I'd say his agent is perhaps circulating his name to either, find him a new club or maybe force Town's hand so they offer him a new contract? He did only sign a one year deal in the summer didnt he?

The whole defence need a decent coach.  Shirtliff clearly is a waste of time.
