Title: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Sippo on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 08:27:12 On saturday then?
Will be interesting.... Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: london_red on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 08:31:17 Doesn't necessarily have to use them as a front two though.
Personally I'd like to see the formation he used against Charlton, with Peri-Peri up top and Ritchie and Dossevi in the wide positions. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: STFC_Gazza on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 08:44:04 What's that Campbell chappy up to these days? :D
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: phelpsieboy on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 08:54:42 I would like to see 4-4-1-1, pericard up top, and Ritchie just behind him
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Spud on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:13:03 It's like some sort of sick dream.
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Benzel on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:36:43 I reckon it could work......
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: magicroundabout on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:37:36 we are seriously fucked if thats our options.
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: suttonred on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:41:22 On past experience it doesn't look promising. My hunch is though with a certain someone not playing, others will come out of their shells. I'm expecting a team champing at the bit with new found morale on saturday.
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: STFC_Gazza on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:42:45 we are seriously fucked if thats our options. Pericard and Billy Bodin? Bodin keeps getting called up for Wales (although that isnt saying much) so must have something about him. Pericard now has a chance to endear himself to fans!! Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Peter Venkman on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:50:42 Pericard now has a chance to endear himself to fans!! I don't think a certain section of our fans will let him even try. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: magicroundabout on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:51:42 Pericard and Billy Bodin? Bodin keeps getting called up for Wales (although that isnt saying much) so must have something about him. Pericard now has a chance to endear himself to fans!! pericard + dossevi Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Spud on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:52:28 I don't think a certain section of our fans will let him even try. Agreed. There's some idiots 3 rows behind us who blame him for everything and think that Dossevi is some sort of world class striker. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: STFC_Gazza on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:52:51 I don't think a certain section of our fans will let him even try. True, I mean I think he is shit but don't boo him although I have had the occasional shout at him saying he is shit but thats normally down to the shit performances around him. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: STFC_Gazza on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:53:49 Agreed. There's some idiots 3 rows behind us who blame him for everything and think that Dossevi is some sort of world class striker. Once Dossevi learns the off-side rule, we can begin teaching him how to shoot on target!! Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Spud on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 09:59:32 Once Dossevi learns the off-side rule, we can begin teaching him how to shoot on target!! True. Even my Girlfriend know's the offside rule. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Power to people on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 10:39:08 Wilson may surprise people and play Charlie - depends where his head is at, if he vows to keep giving his all until he get's a move then play him and pull him off if he only goes through the motions I'm sure he's not refusing to play for stfc anymore just trying to force through a move
I'm sure he's in the office with Fitton & Wilson as we type.... Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: gibbo1012 on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 11:06:27 I would play Pericard and Ritchie playing off of his shoulder.
He can hold the ball up well but the other forward need to be tight to him, we play with our two forwards way too far apart. And it doesnt help with prutton and douglas leaving a huge hole in midfield because we sit way too deep when attacking. Give me the job WILSON OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have got my level one FA coaching badge does that mean i can sit on the bench  Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: LucienSanchez on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 11:08:54 I'd have JPM behind Pericard, with a midfield of Ritchie, Ferry, Douglas, Prutton (on the irght hand side, swapping with JPM as and when required)
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: iffy on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 11:20:00 I think JPM he shown that he can't play centrally. Any setup that doesn't have him wide is a waste.
In this respect (and probably only this respect) he's like Beckham. Got the ego to want to run the game from the centre, but his ability is best suited to playing out wide. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: DV on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 13:35:19 What about David Ball....
....oh Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: nochee on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 15:39:30 True. Even my Girlfriend know's the offside rule. Don't be silly, of course she doesn't.Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: nevillew on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 15:43:08 True. Even my Girlfriend know's the offside rule. There's offside in ironing ? Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Dr Pierre Chang on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 15:44:05 Make no mistake, the only way we are heading with these two upfront is League 2. We can only hope that we sign a couple of strikers before the end of the month.
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: adje on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 17:18:20 Have they ever played up front together?
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: DV on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 17:19:24 Yes, home to Huddersfield, we won 1-0.
Last time we kept a clean sheet as well. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: dphunt88 on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 17:27:58 So their ability to defend from the front is not in question!
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: suttonred on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:02:23 Yes, home to Huddersfield, we won 1-0. Last time we kept a clean sheet as well. Only problem is our scorer from that game has buggered off. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Reeeeeves on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:04:02 You never know, maybe Austin leaving will see them both fired up to be the ones to replace his goals :)
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:15:05 We'll go 4-5-1 with Pericard up top on Saturday. Unless we sign a CB or Frampton somehow recovers from injury we'll have LJF and Cuthbert in defence again....I think it could be a disaster this Saturday sadly.
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Ralphy on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:18:43 Of all the teams to play, has to be fucking Rovers.
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Saxondale on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:19:27 Iffy, I think rovers are really really really shit at the moment, wheras we're just really really shit.
Im confident we'll draw. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: DV on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:19:49 Lets hope they knackered themselves out, lose and get a few sent off tonight then.
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:20:58 Iffy, I think rovers are really really really shit at the moment, wheras we're just really really shit. Im confident we'll draw. Really? So with no goal threat (assuming Austin is going that is) and a crap defensive do you really think we can draw 0-0? I don't. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Saxondale on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:26:18 I really think they cant hit a cows arse with a banjo, have no new players, a player sent off on saturday who will be banned. Im only half serious but I cant see either side being able to string a pass together let alone a meaningful attack.
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: wheretherealredsare on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:34:24 I really think they cant hit a cows arse with a banjo, have no new players, a player sent off on saturday who will be banned. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: pauld on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:45:07 I really think they cant hit a cows arse with a banjo, have no new players, a player sent off on saturday who will be banned. Im only half serious but I cant see either side being able to string a pass together let alone a meaningful attack. It's got "moutwatering fixture" written all over it hasn't it?Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: chalkies_shorts on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 18:47:02 It's got "moutwatering fixture" written all over it hasn't it? if you add in the shit view, shit ground and fuckwit locals its going to be a real treatTitle: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Abrahammer on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, 19:17:59 At least the travelling fans will give them some encouragement, if we were at home on Saturday the mongs would be on their backs before the warm up had finished.
Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: nevillew on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 13:24:31 It's got "moutwatering fixture" written all over it hasn't it? Or 'mouthwatering', at least. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: pauld on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 15:26:14 Or 'mouthwatering', at least. Dammit. I was salivating so hard, I made the keyboard all slippery, typo was inevitableTitle: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Doctor Bamber on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 18:28:17 look on the bright side, if Austin isnt available/still throwing a hissy fit/just too busy house hunting in Burnley for fuck sake, then at least Lucas will be available......... providing Charlie isnt anywhere near Lucas's house that is.
Surely he would be a better bet to lead the line than Pericard??? At least he can trap a ball. Title: Re: Pericard and Dossevi Post by: Coca Fola on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, 19:03:35 Sign Onibuje on a temporary contract and play him up top on his own. He gets a hat trick, signs permanently and becomes the best footballer in the world, getting Swindon to the Prem in 2 years.
It's not rocket science. |
