I had heard that we are getting the stand behind the goal rather than the bit of terracing that we normally get at the Memorial, not sure if this is true or not though.

i bought my ticket and i gota seat bhind the goal. they didnt give me a choice of the terrace or seated.

After the piss poor following to this match last season I can't see any trouble getting a ticket this time around considering our form.

When i got my tickets yesterday, they said they had about 500 left.

we havnt had the terracing since the League 2 game.

We had it last season, and one block of the stand behind the goal.

My source (a poor gashead ST holder who I work with) informs me that the game is all ticket for away fans and there will be NO, I repeat, NO tickets available to away fans at the ground on the day.

I work in Brizzle, so I'm looking forward to this one. I reckon we'll head up Stokes Croft stopping at a few boozers like the pipe and slippers. Then head on to Gloucester Road and a few more boozers such as....... The Prince Of Wales is nice although a tad small, The Hobgoblin's good for the ale lovers, Robin Hoods Retreat isn't too bad and there's a sports bar or two. working our way to the ground. There's plenty of options around that way so should be a good day out.

Best Pub is the Sam Smith's one in Queens Square. Cheap (£1.70 ish a pint) & extremely good quality beer.

Never been an issue. Although the biggest downside is they arrive too late imo.

whatever mode of transport its always a warm welcome.

At the John Cabot they usually save me my favourite arm chair next to the fire. Barman usually has 4 pints on the bar for us on the way in.

Theres one game I cant believe I went to, which is the friendly in 2004.

I've seen Town play away to Rovers at Eastville, Twerton, Ashton Gate and the Memorial Ground. I think that makes me quite sad.

Fair play they have lived up to their name. Like pikeys tarmacking drives from Town to Town.

That place was a shit hole with one of the worst views in league football from behind the speedway track.

Haven't been to the Memorial Shed, but have watched us play them at all the others.

And yes, Eastville was a shit place to watch football, a bit like the old stamford bridge when you were half a mile from the pitch

Remember years back winning 4-1 at Eastville...remember being shite scared though happy.

One of my strangest away days was standing in one of their stands with a Rovers supporting friend at Twerton for an evening game in the early 1990s when we won 4-3.  (The back pass rule had just been brought in and players were still getting used to it; I remember one of their goals resulted from a short range free kick after Digby handled.)  Very envious of the rest of our fans at the end because I had to zip it while they were going mental.

We had shitloads there that game. The main problem wasn't with Rovers but the ethnics who lived nearby. We went top after that game and Terry Cooper got sacked. We then went to Walsall on the Tueaday and lost 5-0 and got relegated that season.
Ardiles - I was also in the Rovers end for that game - as were quite a lot of Town. We always had a lot of Town in the Rovers ends at Twerton.

My first trip to Eastville was in 66...we got beat 3-0, I suspect undone by Alfie Biggs and Harold Jarman.  Back then they used to have attractive flower beds between the goals and the speedway track.

Did Jarman play for the Town in a few matches?

No you're probably thinking of Bobby Jones.....Harold Jarman was one of those reasonably common at the time who played county cricket in the summer....he turned out for Gloucestershire.
