Title: End of the world is near Post by: Chubbs on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 09:57:53 Ok...maybe not but what do you lot make of all the "weird stuff happening"
On new years eve thousands of black birds randomly fell from the sky in Arkansas, Then just 3 days later 100,000 of fish were found dead in a stretch of river (all of the same species) other fish species were unaffected. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/Dead-Fish-And-Birds-Mystery-Thousands-Of-Fish-And-Blackbirds-Die-In-Arkansas/Article/201101115878597 Now the same is happening in Louisiana http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/Hundreds-Of-Birds-Drop-Dead-In-Louisiana-After-Thousands-Were-Found-Dead-In-Beebe-Ark-Arkansas/Article/201101115879821?lpos=World_News_First_Strange_News__Article_Teaser_Region__0&lid=ARTICLE_15879821_Hundreds_Of_Birds_Drop_Dead_In_Louisiana_After_Thousands_Were_Found_Dead_In_Beebe_Ark_Arkansas This along with the "biblical floods" in Australia and Extreme weather conditions around the world. Just a bit strange eh? Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: suttonred on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 10:18:06 I also saw 100000 fish had died not far from where the birds died. Maybe the mayans and John Cusack are right?
Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Whits on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 10:20:34 i'd trust john cusack, he knows everything
Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Nemo on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 10:23:18 It's not particularly funny, but as someone's going to say "Yes, and Swindon won a game after going behind." then it may as well be me.
Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Chubbs on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 10:36:57 just been reminded of the earthquake up north and also a tornado in falmouth
Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Craigo276 on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 10:42:27 i'd trust john cusack, he knows everything Cusack is a hero however during endless boredom during the night I happened to stumble across this link http://motherboard.tv/2011/1/4/nasa-picks-its-best-and-worst-science-fiction-movies--2 Just to say it won't end if it does well i'll eat my hat at some point after the world ends Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Bogus Dave on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 11:14:01 The magnetic poles are due to shift at some point soon....
Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Benzel on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 11:37:14 Yeah, I am basing this on nothing but I'd imagine the weather will go a bit mental, as will animals for a bit and then it'll calm down.
I don't think we're gonna get wiped off the the map or anything.. Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: suttonred on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 11:38:52 The magnetic poles are due to shift at some point soon.... I read a fair bit about that years ago. If I remember we are a couple of thousand overdue for that to happen? Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Chubbs on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 11:53:11 Yeah, I am basing this on nothing but I'd imagine the weather will go a bit mental, as will animals for a bit and then it'll calm down. I don't think we're gonna get wiped off the the map or anything.. we can only hope :-) Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: @MacPhlea on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 12:02:05 I read a fair bit about that years ago. If I remember we are a couple of thousand overdue for that to happen? This is something we were discussing in the pub the other night - we weren't sure if the magnetic poles were affected by shifts in tectonic plates but if they were then even a small shift it would have a major effect on climate - not sure about the birds and fish though! Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Batch on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 12:33:18 This is exactly how FlashFoward started.
Think about it. Dead birds. Thousands of people have no recollection of the night of 31/12.....Its happening. Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Barry Scott on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 12:44:32 Meh. The end of the world is not going to happen for several billion years. The human race will, of course, have managed to kill itself off long before that, but the planet has a while left yet and can survive just find without us raping it.

Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Simon Pieman on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, 20:32:13 Quote Officials reported around 50 jackdaws had been found dead on a street in Sweden, and other unexplained mass fish deaths have occurred recently in Brazil and New Zealand. The birds are a bit wierd though. Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: Berniman on Thursday, January 6, 2011, 14:25:50 Chubbs is the new John Cusak, at least wait until the right year!
Title: Re: End of the world is near Post by: suttonred on Thursday, January 6, 2011, 16:05:22 I think this is the usual press thing of tagging onto stuff that probably happens all the time, and making out it's abnormal. Bit like the daily mail do. In fact I saw the mail this week somewhere and it was saying don't eat nuts you'll get fat, do you ever see lardy squirrels? No, any way I digress, next story will be 2000 Lemmings dieing, or 50 whales wash up on a beach, in short nature is doing what nature does.
