Is it any good or should I go to Borough Market and get a Roast Beef and Horseraddish bap?! :I'm a complete mofleakin Deak Title: Re: CHARLTON Post by: reeves4england on Thursday, December 30, 2010, 17:38:06 OS is warning about delays on the trains. I rang up national rail to ask about this and they said it should be fine, although I wouldn't necessarily bank on that. I'm getting a fairly early train anyway so should be fine, but just thought I'd point this out!

Can't say I've ever tried any so can't comment on the quality. Title: Re: CHARLTON Post by: Luci on Thursday, December 30, 2010, 19:41:18 Funny that as train diversions are supposed to be occurring until the 3rd (to include the 3rd). Diverted via Banbury meaning Swindon - Paddington has been taking 2.23 mins instead of 1 hour.
I'd seriously check the journey again before buying a ticket but seeing as it's FGW, half the literature floating around is probably wrong! I'd seriously check the journey again before buying a ticket but seeing as it's FGW, half the literature floating around is probably wrong! Major engineering work will be taking place in the Reading area over the Christmas and New Year Period. The main effects of the engineering are that Reading station will be closed completely on Monday 27, Tuesday 28, Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 December (there are no train services on Saturday 25 or Sunday 26 December during the Christmas shutdown). Also, the following routes will be closed at various times between Monday 27 December and Tuesday 4 January: Between Maidenhead and Didcot Parkway via Reading Between Reading and Basingstoke via Mortimer Between Reading and Theale Between Reading and Wokingham Between Twyford and Henley-on-Thames Between London Paddington and Greenford (this allows for the diversion of other First Great Western services) Title: Re: CHARLTON Post by: reeves4england on Thursday, December 30, 2010, 20:21:04 I've read all that Si. Trains up to today were 2-3hrs saccording to national rail, then after that they are all down as 1hr. As you so subtly pointed out above, that information may well not be true - that's why I'm leaving 7 hours before the game!

Somehow given the situation 13th win etc, you knew it would happen, and when Dean Kiely threw in Steve Cowe's weak cross shot, it was so... :) Title: Re: CHARLTON Post by: reeves4england on Monday, January 3, 2011, 12:35:28 Of course one of our most famous loopy wins was at the Valley, when Charlton had won the previous 12, we were rock bottom probably without an away win all season.
