Title: New FA Chairman to be
Post by: Power to people on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, 14:40:18
I see the FA look set to appoint former Man city chairman David Bernstein - surely this is a bit of a silly appointment as he is 67 and under current rules he has to stand down at 70, so he will have 3 years may or may not do a few good things in that time and then have to retire  - surely a younger man who could  - if he wanted - stay in the position longer to put some firm plans in place and really look to transform the FA over time.

Kind of funny that the FA criticize FIFA for their selection processes, when they select the chairmen over cigars and port in a gentleman's club and make the decision long before it is finally ratified by a vote.

Interestingly, Bernstein's nomination was endorsed by Phil Gartside, of 'EPL 2' fame.
