Great... he now has to go up to Jockland, sit on a bench and then travel back before then heading back up to Rochdale.  Quite a lot of travelling in a short space of time.

None of our 3 scotsmen have had particularly great seasons thus far but if Caddis can get called up...

Tis a bit odd, but I think he's been showing signs of the player we hoped he would be. Guess he just hasn't settled very quickly, whereas Scotland probably know better than us of what he can do.

Its presumably on the back of him being Scotland Under 21 Captain.

Ferry's injured, but Cuthbert's available. Certainly a better future prospect than playing near 40 year old David Weir at the back.

He's been picked because he's known in the scottish set up. It's clearly not on his performances this season

He's been a major part of the Scotland U21 setup and so I guess that is why he has been picked.

Obviously in a normal situation he wouldn't be near the squad yet, but its nice to see he hasn't slipped to oblivion despite "only" playing league 1 football. Maybe things like this will help player recruitment in the future.

It says that 11 of their named squad have pulled out.

Caddis is a real good player good for him, i dont understand how hes not in our starting 11.

Once Wilson has an excuse to drop Timlin we will see Caddis back in the team in my opinion.

Didn't Caddis say he was surprised by the quality and physical side of the game in League One and that it was taking him a bit of time to get used to it? Sure he said it was a similar level the SPL as well, or at least the shit teams in the SPL.

 Ooh exciting he could be our first Scottish cap since Jock Walker....who incidentally disgracefully never gets a mention in those all time sides thingys.

 Not only was Jock a fine full back...but he made mighty fine battered sausges and chips cookedin proper lard...

Think he should be our starting right back IMO, I know he got destroyed against Franchise, but that was one match, and you should never judge a player on one bad game (see Cuthbert), and the only way he will be able to adjust to the physicality of the league is by getting game time, and once he gets that game time, he may become one of our star players

In the 90's Scotland didn't pick players like Duncan Shearer and Colin Calderwood until they moved from us and played in the Prem and SPL respectively, whilst now they are prepared to look at League One.

Maybe the Scottish manager have realised that the SPL is the equivalent of League One football.

Or maybe they have had 11 drop outs and decided to call up the captain of there under 21 team.

I reckon he deserves a run out playing right midfield. He has potential, but I don't think he's a right back.

Fair play to the lad for getting a call up, says a lot about Scotland but hopefully this will be the first of many games at international level for him.

Shouldn't make any difference what level of which league system he's playing at, every Scotsman deserves the right to scrape a narrow draw against the Faroe Islands at least once in their career

It'd be a toss up between Zippy and Horlock..both were capped in 95 at STFC.

Was Steve Jenkins not capped whilst playing for us?

Edit: Wiki says no. I find it hard to believe we haven't had someone capped by Wales though, just about everyone has been at some point.
