Now i was told that this sentence is a Palindrome..one of the longest known in English

Doc note, i dissent,a fast never prevents a fatness,i diet on cod.

If someone can explain in laymans terms why this is a Pallindrome....i will be happy because it has been explained many times to myself...and i still dont get it :hmmm:

I was Googling for the longest palindromes a while back. There are some very, very long ones but they make fuck all sense even if they are grammatically correct. But I found this poem which is actually readable and makes a bit of sense;

Name not one bottle minus an ode by me:
"Sir, I deliver. I'm a dog"
