I honestly prefered MW. I get really tired of twitch gaming and endless corridors and MW2 just felt like being funnelled from one Quicktime event to another set piece. Mind you I was the only person who thought that the plot of MW was an overblown pile of shit not some seminal heartstring tugger. So old, so cynical...

The MW series is a lot better but it's because it's made by different developers. The storylines in general are better etc. I got bored of MW2 though and I thought that they sold out as such after the success of COD4. I'm looking forward to this one but not expecting it to be as good in terms of the story mode and possibly at time the multiplayer. That said the multiplayer on COD WAW was pretty good and this one looks even better. Midnight release at Asda btw for £36.97.....

I usually boot straight up into multi-player and never even bother with the single player stuff.

I always complete the single player. Normally it's quite short. I think the main focus is always on the MP with COD these days.

That's a yes. Got it last night, played a couple of hours of zombies with my mate. Fucking brilliant. The map is huge.

Oh and the single best feature added so far? SPLIT SCREEN ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. Oh fucking hells yeah.

All this talk of new games inspired me to play the original Unreal Tournament on the PC again. I got so raped it was unbelievable. First to 30, I got up to about 5 before the hardcore kiddies started knocking me off buildings for fun. I think I ended up on -8, but to be fair I got nearly 20 kills.

Was playing on xbox live yesterday.

Awesome game so far.  I like the variety of game modes, and the new zombie levels look ace, and the gollom zombies look cool too

Xbox live last night for a trial. Thought i had to play single player to unlock zombies. To my surprise its there already  :smugfu:. online was good nice new maps, Crap weapons to start with but after level 10 you get some great ones. The camera is good as well.

If you go to tesco you can get it for 25quid. But gotta buy either 2100 points or 3months gold (xbox) or summit for ps3 so in total 42.99 but if you need the 3months could be of value

Personally i didnt buy it. Online is all team games. I like to stay to free for all ectt... So prefer MW and COD for online entertainment. Plus for me i got confused who was on my team. Only find out after i have been killed as im looking down scope of gun thinking do i kill em. Of course its too late then.

Good game. Got rid of the crap things about MW2 and the last Treyarch offering such as nukes, noob tubes etc and loving the money you can earn to purchase perks and the wager matches are good fun. Great idea. Only downside for me is the maps. Not really too keen on them. Zombies just seems the same as the last one as well.

Started to get used to this last night, my first game online was good, came 2nd in a free for all but it proved to be a fluke as i then did shocking for the next few games, tried a few death matches and after a few i managed to get the hang of it and was getting pretty respectable scores.
Its just a matter of memorising the maps now

Got it last night. Only played for an hour. Got to get used to the controls again. Been playing Halo Reach and i'm getting confused.

Seems pretty good though. Still think the best one is COD4

It lags alot online. And if your in a party trying to play online with your mates always seems to boot us all except the party host.

Mine was lagging like anything last night despite having full signal! I'll give it another go tonight.

Just started using the AK74U which is qaulity, i would recomend it.

I like how they've brought the pace down slightly online. It feels weightier (is that a word?) which is good.

I've not had any lags online. Seems fine to me.

Totally agree. I just thought the game play was slower than usual but it seems alot more realistic.

Happened to me a couple of times. When you move from behind the crate upto the guard, just go for him without hiding first. But don't sprint!

The mini games are absolutely brilliant. DOA is so much fun and Zork looks like a good little puzzler (some of you oldies might know what that is) The Pentagon zombie map 'Five' is so hard.

Heres something to do. It works for xbox. (not sure for ps3)

When at main menu (showing campaign/zombies/multiplayer/options)
Press: left trigger - right trigger - left trigger  - right trigger - left trigger - right trigger

your player will stand up (and you get some g for it)
Look around by the back of the chair there is a monitor. Walk around to it.
Click to play the arcade game and wait about 30 seconds (again more acheivements)

You have now unlocked a zombie arcade game that you can play whenever.

The jungle map is awesome online, there is this little ledge that i was on picking off the baddies for fun, i took out three people in a row one at a time and the others were trying to find me. it is opposite the rope walk way, go around the back and there is a rope ladder go up there and this ledge is up quite high. This is on the ps3 version.

Ive noticed this one is a lot harder for snipers(like me in MW2) im trying to scout out the best spots but they are lacking.

Not liking the secondary weapon options and also the last stand perk, ive been killed so many times by people who have last stand on.

I love last stand. Great way to get back the people who've just downed you.

I still think the Modern Warefare was the best one. Black Ops is ok. Not sure on Nuketown.... Seem to re-spawn only to get shot in the back straight away!

Free for all on Nuketown is mental. Impossible to get more than a 3 kill streak as you get people spawing all around you.

i think black opps has issues with aiming, every gun i use has loads of re coil, and unlike past cod games not many have a grip to choose :gay:

He bloody must of been. Saying that... how the other people didn't notice is beyond me!

They may well have noticed but if someone is camping out it's hard to get the kill on them even if you know where they are. You have to resort to using grenades and flashbangs etc but even that's tough on a map like Nuketown where you're shot in the back every 10 seconds.

Make sure you've got your claymore behind you whenever possible. Usually stops people sneaking up on you. Or use the camera spike, or motion sensor...

Yeah i got bored of it for a while but once i got a decent gun (galil) i started enjoying it. Now use the Galil and AK47. Got Hardline Pro perk which gives you the option to change your care packages to something different/better (chopper gunner/blackbird) etc. Just got chance it.

Yeah those 2 are 2 of the best guns apparently. I need to rank up and unlock them.

Yeah i started off with the Enfield. Pretty good as it has no recoil but it's not got enough damage. Galil with red dot site is the nuts!

a little tip, if you want to rank up quicker, play headquarters.

And good shout Chubbs. HQ games nearly always return large xp. More time on the game for kills and hefty bonuses.

exactly, TDM you average about 2000/3000xp a game with HQ its around 7000/8000 and very often even more due to chalenges

Played StockPile headquarters, really like the map, on a lot of different levels, a bit like Berlin Wall in a few ways but more compact with more chokepoints.

anyone having trouble loading the game today? for some reason it keeps crashing on the load up screen ive tried this with 2 copys of the game but both crash at the same place. ive tried my other games and they all work perfect no crashing what so ever.

yes ive updated my ps3 since it last worked. my game crashes on the load up menu where is says sensitive information and it starts blacking out the words on a sheet of paper. i does it on 2 copys of the game an sum1 has said that i need to do a static ip but i have no idea what there on about

finally got it working i dont know why this helped it but it did. i created a new user name on the ps3...not on the psn. i put the disc in and it loaded up fine, then i went back onto my normal user name and the game works fine.

A baby with no thumbs has skills on MW2.
