Title: Another question for Doctor TEF Post by: Coca Fola on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 20:20:24 I broke my leg about 2 months back and did all the ligaments in my ankle. Had the cast off yesterday and just wanted to ask someone who's had a similar experience:
A: How long before I can start doing physical stuff again B: Should it still be really swollen? Thanks in advance Title: Re: Another question for Doctor TEF Post by: thedarkprince on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 20:24:52 The swelling will go down once you get a bit of movement back in the joint. I did the inner ankle ligament 6 weeks ago and it's still a bit swollen and very bruised. It'll get there soon enough.

How did you manage yours?Title: Re: Another question for Doctor TEF Post by: jonny72 on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 20:27:39 Really?
You didn't think of asking those questions when they took the cast off? Or did you think you'd go with the wisdom of the TEF rather than the medical profession? Title: Re: Another question for Doctor TEF Post by: suttonred on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 20:29:45 I think it's probably code for cock rot, hence not asking a quack.
Title: Re: Another question for Doctor TEF Post by: Coca Fola on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 20:31:07 Really? Gloucester hospital is shit. They took the cast off and I was out within 5 mins. Doctor just looked and said it should be fine, didn't bother x-raying it and I was out like that. (And I kind of forgot to ask) You didn't think of asking those questions when they took the cast off? Title: Re: Another question for Doctor TEF Post by: chalkies_shorts on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 21:04:12 If you can afford it go to a proper physio who'll set up a progressive training plan for you. 2 months in plaster can result in a lot of muscle wastage which will need putting right.
