Title: iPod song retrieval Post by: Bob's Orange on Friday, October 29, 2010, 16:14:47 I have 9,000 songs on my iPod of Which I use my old, almost dead laptop to house my
iTunes library. I want to put these songs on my MacBook pro now, is it possible to do this? I had a look at senuti but the free download is only 1,000 songs. There is probably already a thread about this but I can't be bothered looking. All sensible advise welcomed. Will be interested to know if there is something out there as it was a pain in the arse. the problem is that my old laptop keeps turning itself off after about 30 minutes so an external laptop isn't really an option. Title: Re: iPod song retrieval Post by: DV on Friday, October 29, 2010, 17:03:20 There is an easy way of taking them straight off the iPod - I cant remember what but you select something so when you go in via my computer is the iPod is displayed as if it were an external hard drive and you can copy files across off of it.
It does work because I've done it, somehow. Might have to move them in batches or something equally as tiresome.

Pretty certain you should be able to open a Windows iTunes library on a Mac (if your old laptop is Windows). Though it was years ago I moved my library across and can't remember the details.
