Anyone watched this? New thriller supposedly in the Lost/24 mould.

Just seen the first episode on 4od and seems promising - quite a lot of showing you an event then flashing back to the events that precede it makes it a little hard to follow at first but will see how it goes after a few episodes.

quite enjoyed the first two episodes.  but I fear it'll go the same way as flash forward.

Flash Forward was embarrassing.  The concept was interesting, and the first few episodes were gripping.  And then it drifted, and drifted, and drifted...

I'm not sure the script writers ever really knew where it was going.

And then it got cancelled and they gave it a ridiculous ending.

Did they actually give it an ending? We watched the last episode broadcast over here and simply assumed that was the original "cliff-hanger" ending they'd always planned to lead into a second series. Not that I care much tbh, as others have said it was nonsense on stilts

Looked good on Friday night. It's repeated on E4 tomorrow if anyone is interested.

I only watched this because I read an interview with the writer who said he's not making it up as he goes along and is not going to keep posing questions and not answering them. He said that most questions get answered very quickly, because he felt that after "certain shows" making it up as they went along [Lost me thinks] audiences now have a very low tolerance for mysteries.

I'm only watching it to see if that's the case because after Lost I refuse to waste my life on such open-ended bullshit again.

I think it's the balls. Can't see it being more than a 2 season thing - which is good. Hopefully won't be like Flashforward and get cancelled before filming of the 2nd season.

It was cancelled after the season finale had been filmed (possibly after it had aired) so the ending was just the end of season cliff hanger. Happens all the time with US shows, sometimes they just pull a show mid season and then show the remaining episodes at some random time a few months later.

Haven't watched The Event yet, need to catch up when I get the chance. Too much good stuff on TV at the moment, with the new seasons starting in the US.

It seemed interesting but I couldn't help but feel it had a smaller budget than a BBC 2 documentary.

Watching it now on E4 +1, a bit darker than I thought it'd be (blonde girl's parents).  Could be a good'un if it doesn't get canned. 

Happened to Invasion which was pretty much Invasion of the Body Snatchers but starring William Fichtner.  Got to the series cliff hanger and that was it.  So fucking annoying.

Okay, just seen the end of episode 1 - seriously?! - and now retract all of the above. 

I don't get it (am i supposed to yet?)... Is it an "alien" show?

What a load of shit. Watched the first ep and just didn't care about what was happening. It was all over the place. Unnecessarily so. Couldn't help but laugh at what happened at the end.

Finaly caught up with this, watched the first 6 eps and im quite enjoying it.

Im just worried that the same things going to happen as it did to lost, and just drag on and on and on.

Where did you download the other episodes? I think its quite good as well and shouldn't go the same way as lost as they have the ending already.

^^^And hopefully it's more about the mysteries not "the characters."
