Not a bad first round I thought, they're a bit shit these days aren't they? Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: DV on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 12:13:39 worst draw possible?
Guess we're not going to win the FA Cup this season, anyone who goes - if we go 2-0 down and bring it back to 2-2 - shut the fuck up and make sure everyone else does. Not a bad first round I thought, they're a bit shit these days aren't they? Same division opposition and miles away. Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: The_Plagiarist on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 12:18:58 Hardly miles away, westcountry team easier to get to than fucking shrewsbury or southend or somewhere shoite like that.
didn't realise they were our bogey team but guess we have been 2-0 down only to come back to 2-2 then concede a late winner TWICE against them in recent years. Always think of cheltenham as our fucking bogey team, and 1982ltd always were when we were in the same division as them, not really plymouth though Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: Peter Venkman on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 12:19:53 Poor draw IMO.
Even though its barely an hour and a quarter from me its still a horrible drive to get there. Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: Jean-Francois is God on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 12:43:20 Personally I think it is a bloody shit draw.
Opposition in our league, a bloody long way away and knowing Town we will probably lose. Still fingers crossed, I would be delighted with a draw and a replay back at the CG. Pissed off with the fact that there were quite a few local teams in there like Cheltenham, Forest Green, Bath City/Supermarine and even the likes of Aldershot. Also as pointed out by Bloody Paynter, Northampton appeared on the "Teams to look out" bit before the mighty Swindon. I fucking hate ITV. Thank god for Duncan Shearer.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTzAPHmawEw Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 12:46:58 Typical boring Swindon Cup draw. Away to a team in the same division :crash: ::)

Only 160 miles from Swindon. Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: The_Plagiarist on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 12:56:27 Westcountry la la la!! Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: No Longer Posh Red on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 13:24:55 Only 160 miles from Swindon. . Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: Reg Smeeton on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 13:41:31 The only good thing about this draw is that we can't go out to a non league side this year. I'm assuming we'll most likely lose....
We've now entered a new decade, and we always lose once a decade to non league sides. :badmood: Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: leefer on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 18:08:27 Tough draw..beat Udds yesterday and Fallon is back.......ex players always score against us.
Would have put my mortgage on Revell scoring yesterday. Not a bad first round I thought, they're a bit shit these days aren't they? Erm, because we keep losing to them. I went to Home Park (under Kingy) when we lost 2-1, not forgetting the last two home games 2-2 and WE fucked it up. Title: Re: Adver News: BREAKING NEWS: Town away at Plymouth in FA Cup Post by: reeves4england on Sunday, October 24, 2010, 21:56:43 Erm, because we keep losing to them. I went to Home Park (under Kingy) when we lost 2-1, not forgetting the last two home games 2-2 and WE fucked it up. That 2-1 defeat was gutting. Partly because one of their goals was an indirect free-kick which only counted as a goal because Evans got a hand to it, and partly because Gurney was sent off for being hauled to the floor. Oh, and it was a hec of a long way to go for a Westcountry 'derby'! |
