Title: U Turns
Post by: Oaksey Moonraker on Friday, October 22, 2010, 21:18:06
After Wayne Rooney's U Turn to sign a new contract at Man Utd, which Swindon players or managers in the past or present who maybe thought the grass was greener elsewhere do you wish had made a U turn and returned to Swindon. Probably not Joey Beauchamp though!

That was injuries though and had nothing to do with the club he was at.

He could have stayed here and had the same injuries.

Mooney is the first one that should spring to anyones mind on this list. He even admitted it was a huge mistake going to the scum.

Mooney would be a good example, he was never the same again and we didn't replace him adequately. Kingy's fall out with Darius Henderson's agent resulting in us signing the troubled Christian Roberts.

Jimmy Quinn left Swindon at the wrong time in 1988 as he didn't do much at Leicester and Bradford until Macari took him to West Ham whereas we pushed on and Duncan Shearer scored a shed load of goals for us. Quinny helped West Ham get promoted but they sold him straight away.
