Post by: Reg Smeeton on Thursday, June 23, 2005, 17:53:11 Doesn't seem that long ago to me that pubs used to shut at 2:00 pm on a Sunday, guess teh law change sometime in the mid 80's. They then used to reopen at 7:00pm, so it wasn't uncommon to see a bit of a queue forming.
Which is why in the summer I'd often head off to Frocester, to watch cricket as the clubhouse served drinks all afternoon. Title: Are pubs open on Sunday nights? Theres something about sunday drinking (talking past 9pm in town centres) that brings out the dregs and the filth. Chicago rock in Reading was the same. Title: Are pubs open on Sunday nights?
