He always played on the wing...so therefore played in midfield. Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: carbonwhite on Thursday, September 30, 2010, 17:09:42 I cannot remember Jimmy Davis ever playing up front for us. He always played on the wing...so therefore played in midfield. he did your just too old to remember. and you had to check wiki to make sure :DTitle: Re: Loan strikers Post by: jb on Thursday, September 30, 2010, 17:15:16 Micheal Reddy did alright
Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: Peter Venkman on Thursday, September 30, 2010, 17:44:51 A selection of terrible loan strikers
Shayne Bradley Neil Fenn Kyle Lightbourne Frank Mcavennie Mark Mccammon Alex Rhodes Jamie Slabber A few players that were shit for us but went on to have good careers. John Sutton Ian Muir Jo Kuffour Deon Burton Paul Rideout - fanastic first time, when he came back on loan he was awful. Peter Eastoe - one of the best loan signings we ever made, along with Simon Cox. Craig Moores (if Jimmy Davis is allowed then so is Craig...possibly one of the worst players ever to wear a Town shirt) Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: Matchworn Shirts on Thursday, September 30, 2010, 18:23:40 I liked Darius Henderson - especially those two goals at Bristol on his debut (they said he was unfit :))
Shame we couldn't sign him Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: Lumps on Thursday, September 30, 2010, 18:38:45 we bought george ndah as a striker then played him centre midfield) When? My memory is of Ndah being signed form Palace, who played him as a winger, and playing up front for us in a pairing with Iffy. A strike partnership that generally had defences shitting themselves about their power and pace for the first half an hour, and then relaxing a bit when they realised that neither of them could really finish. Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: carbonwhite on Thursday, September 30, 2010, 19:03:26 When? My memory is of Ndah being signed form Palace, who played him as a winger, and playing up front for us in a pairing with Iffy. after the season we signed him he started playing centre midfield and making those killer runs from inside our half.A strike partnership that generally had defences shitting themselves about their power and pace for the first half an hour, and then relaxing a bit when they realised that neither of them could really finish. we signed him to replace wayne allison and he did play upfront for the first season he was with us but the second season he started in midfield were his runs where more effective. Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: Paolo69 on Friday, October 1, 2010, 08:06:26 Pretty sure Jimmy never played as a forward for us. He was the same era as SSP, Sabin and Invincibile.
Attacking midfielder yeah, winger yeah but not up front i don't think. Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: A Gent Orange on Friday, October 1, 2010, 08:23:56 King would have never played a midfielder up front. Not when we had centre backs who could be pushed up instead.
Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: STFC_Gazza on Friday, October 1, 2010, 08:39:26 King would have never played a midfielder up front. Not when we had centre backs who could be pushed up instead. We should have played Matty Heywood as a striker, oh..... Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: Benzel on Friday, October 1, 2010, 09:08:46 When? The first thing that springs to mind about Iffy is the 20 goals he got in Division 1. Title: Re: Loan strikers Post by: ronnie21 on Friday, October 1, 2010, 09:21:00 Nouble.
