hmmm not bad I guess. so that will mean corners filled in and effectively a bowl :( I was hoping for more of a "Preston" type development.

I don't think it'll be identical to the Reebok like the headline alludes. In the article Fitton's quoted as saying it will look a little bit like the Reebok.

He does say the roof would be the same, but apart from that it's a "little bit like". Another case of people getting carried away with a headline that doesn't reflect the content of the story

Depends if he meant "a consistent look with a roof, the same as The Reebok"

or

"a consistent look, with a roof the same as The Reebok"

That's true, critical punctuation not being the Adver's strong point. Nonetheless, I think anyone getting out pics of the Reebok and cutting and pasting them over a pic of the CG is going to be wasting their time.

Shame as I've just done a google images search on the Reebok and it looks pretty nice and not too samey with all the new grounds built over the last 15 years or so.

even if it was a copy of the reebok i'd be happy with it.

Reebok or Deepdale I dont care, it will be a nice new ground to all intents and purposes.

Not happy about this. I don't want to watch football in a big open concrete stand with a decent view and legroom for people over five foot four. If I wanted these sort of modern football 'benefits' as well as being able to watch the match I'd go in the bloody intel!!

Completely agree and if we're getting something like that for sub £20 million as Fitton seems to think then we're going to laughing. We've all heard Brighton fans going on about their new ground which is costing £95 million and tbh thats not too far away from the Reebok.
We already have a decent location so add in a decent ground on top and I think we are going to be looking good in the future.

I disagree, yes the Town End has done well etc, but desperatly needs updating. Wouldn't mind a stand similar to Cheltenham'sCarlsberg Stand (but a bit bigger) behind the goal for the Town End to be honest, modern but still compact but with a concourse underneath to get a pint at half time etc.

erm Fitton has said the new stands are going to be something along the lines of the Reebok which is fairly unique and pretty striking. Cheltenhams 'stands' are off the shelf bland designs and a bit shit, I don't see why we'd want anything that resembles Whaddon Road in the slightest...

I ruddy love the look of the Reebok, so am pleased with that!

I think the key thing here is the consistent Lancashire theme. I expect hot pot to be served at all food kiosks, a cobbled path on the approach to the ground, clogs on sale in the club shop and a post to tie whippets to while watching the game.

Clogs would be a Dutch of class.

You'd think they'd develop the stratton bank first, what with it not being used as much?!

Probably the most complicated planning permission wise due to the houses behind so will probably require a fair bit of consultation so no great suprise as don't want to wait for years to get started.

The poor view no legroom no facilities gloom is what makes it what it is. You're confusing a newer stand with a better stand here.

I really hope we have a redevelopment however i have my concerns if the council will give support and i doubt they will  invest any money
Therefore we would need local input from company's
So what would it be called?

The Council will not put a penny in as at end of the day STFC is a private business, and they will have to pay for it.

Regarding possible similarities to Lancastrian football stadia, will our stands have images of past legends made out of coloured seats? a la the sir tom finney stand at preston...
